Small shop seems like it's hit its peak years ago... are famous for their "banana pudding" I wish it tasted better. I was looking forward to it! We also tried the banana cake and it was basically banana bread. Lacking flavor. The store was clean and the staff was attentive. That was a plus.

Zero stars. Abysmal tourist trap in mid town Manhattan. Undrinkable coffee and chai. Baked goods are fine but nothing special. Jumped the shark ages ago. Jumped the whale, really. Was looking for a simple mediocre treat and coffee to take to Central Park for a break after a long long day walking around. Stay away. Seemed like the banana pudding was flying out out the fridge fast. Maybe that's the good thing they sell. Won't be back. Ever.

Wow, just wow! Magnolia bakery lives up to all of the hype. I hear about it in the media. Anytime I am in NYC I make sure to stop by.

Pretty small and tight location. I feel like the line doesn’t have the same swiftness as other locations but maybe they were short staffed that day. Otherwise the deserts hit the spot as always ??!

There's 6 seats so almost impossible to sit down and enjoy so it's a take away (2 mins from Central Park so that's not an issue) , and the key lime pie and ice chai is worth standing up for. Iconic for a reason.

Cute place. Love the red velvet cupcakes and the vanilla cake. Line was full but worth the wait.

red velvet banana pudding was great. One time they switched up my regular banana pudding with some other chocolate one. So dissapointing. The cheesecake was not good.

Maybe they were having an off day. We stopped by here one morning to try the famous banana pudding that everyone raves about and they were sold out. The only option they had was the seasonal flavor of the banana pudding, so we opted for that instead of the OG. Also bought a slice of red velvet cake and a cookie. The gal that helped us was nice and the place was small and quaint. We weren't terribly impressed with the items we bought though, unfortunately.

It is one of several Magnolia Bakery stores located across the southwest edge of Central Park near The Shops at Columbus Circle and Nordstrom malls. It has very few tables to sit at and they are only in the outdoor area, so I suggest you take your cup cakes and your coffee and go to Central Park!

Tiny place with a very poor selection of cupcakes that did not look appealing at all. Seven to ten years ago this chain was great, now it's stopped developing and looks outdated... Only worth a visit for the banana pudding.

our desserts were so sweet, they were unenjoyable. the caramel pecan cheese cake was so rich and sweet that there was no cream cheese flavor — but the crust was good. the banana pudding was nothing special, it had little flavor and just tasted like melted creamy sugar. i don’t understand the hype around this place and i think you’re better off spending your money elsewhere
