Good quality omakase, with some creative twists to classic combinations. I especially enjoyed the smoked mackerel appetizer. Ambience is nice and the chefs are cheerful and concerned with your happiness. Service was great, and the owner is super sweet and sincere.

The Seaweed salad was great! The vegetable udon tasted exactly the same as in Japan. The noodles were thick and yummy as well.We didn’t try the sushi, so no feedback on that. It was a good experience, although the menu in general is a bit on the pricier side.

Amazing ramen! Lots of variety, flavor, and friendly staff!

Here at Gansevoort Market, I had ramen. Even though the employee asked if I was to stay and I confirmed, my ramen was served in a little plastic container, for the tall price of $17.41. Unsurprisingly, the ramen was not good too. I've rarely had bad ramen in my life; I kid you not--the only time I've had ramen THIS bad was at my university dining hall, and at least that's only about $10. Makito offers two limpy pieces of meat, and there weren't a lot of the other toppings. Noodles had a pasty taste to them. Can I get my money back?

We’re from Seattle & are very picky about our sushi. We love good sushi. We are visiting here & my son wanted to try it for dinner. He tried a piece and said it tastes strange. My husband tried one & said it was gross. We went to the counter & asked them for our money back & they were rude & refused. They said it was our problem. Typically when you go to a restaurant, order something & aren’t happy with what your eating, you send it back & they take care of you. We were dumbfounded by their reaction to us- they were rude & uncaring. Definitely do not recommend this place- the service & food was a disappointment.

Tasty sushi with good portions and reasonable prices. Most sushi in this area is subpar, so it's nice having this place around.

Bad customer service, rude staff and quite expensive

After chilling at The High Line, my stomach was rumbling so I decided to check out the Gansevoort Market (this was actually my first time here)! I did a walkthrough of the food court and I ended up at Makito. I was going to order a bowl of ramen but it was hella hot outside so I ordered the Crunch Roll minus avocado because I am allergic to it. The Sushi Chef was working behind the counter to prepare my Crunch Roll then the cashier handed me my sushi roll. I ate the entire sushi roll but pacing myself. It tasted really yummy. You should give this spot a try!
Horrible!!! Just horrible! Over priced Maruchan ramen with a few topings. This place it's a Sham!!

I really would not eat here. The people are rude and over-charged me. I will be disputing this with my credit card company.

Do not order from here. They took my takeaway order and my money but never delivered my food. When I phoned and asked for a refund, the guy hung up on me.

Save your money, they use packaged instant ramen and the sushi isn't very good either.

Vegetable ramen is not vegetarian. It uses tuna paste. The ramen is also not fresh. It is maruchan reheated! Very sad experience. We mentioned to owners and they were rude. No refund, just threw it away.
