The food was amazing and the service is also outstanding!! I ordered chicken sagwala, which was very delicious. Also, when I asked to put leftover into a box to go, they kindly give us another box of rice without charge!! We were served with a free dessert as well. The experience over all was fabulous we will visit again !

I had high hopes for this place and gave it a second chance, hoping it would live up to expectations. However, there are aspects that could elevate it from good to great, like using only the freshest ingredients. The water choice in something as simple as cooking rice, for example, makes a huge difference. My samosa also tasted a bit stale. It's unfortunate when cost-cutting measures affect the quality of the food. Fresh ingredients are essential for great food, and it's disheartening when it seems like shortcuts are taken. Maybe i'm spoiled but i'm offering feedback so it can be better for everyone involved. Service was nice though, prices were fair for the area, and I enjoyed the ambiance. like I said, good but with genuine thoughtfulness in preparation it could be so much better !!! idk... it's 2024... the age of intention, no ??

My husband and I went to dinner here, for the first time, last evening. We were delighted at the entire experience. it’s a very popular place, for good reason. They have a busy delivery and pick-up business, as wellas a busy in-house business. We love the place and will be return customers. Gayle & George

It may be possible to get a good Indian meal here, but only if diners avoid standbys like Chicken Tikka. As with many other Indian restaurants on the UWS, what's delivered to the table bears no resemblance to Indian food: tasteless white meat in an insipid cream sauce whose orange color could have only come out of a bottle. If this is what their American customers want, there should at least be a warning affixed to the menu. Better luck was had with some other dishes.

A neighborhood gem. The food is consistently top-notch and the prices are reasonable. Service is excellent as well. The only minor problem with this restaurant--and I wanst to emphasize the word MINOR--is that it's a bit dark and gloomy at night. Their lighting could be improved. Other than that, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Met a friend at this lovely, cozy restaurant for their Indian lunch buffet, which was only around $20. The place was spacious, full of artwork, along with a very peaceful ambiance. For my drink, I inquired if they have Rose Lassi, and they made it for me. It was too much artificial rose flavor. I should have stuck with Mango Lassi. The buffet had a little bit of everything: Crispy fish, lamb, chicken, goat, mixed vegetables, lentils, curry potatoes, spinach with paneer cheese, samosas, naan bread, chickpeas with poori (puffy), biryani rice, as well as 3 desserts, including Indian Vermicelli (thin, sweet noodles in a creamy, milky, syrupy soup), Gulab jamun, and rice pudding. I really enjoyed the taste of each dish, especially the lightly breaded and perfectly crunchy fish, the tender and well seasoned lamb, fresh veggies, and the soft, fluffy, still warm poori. Out of the dessert, I liked the vermicelli best. I found the Gulab Jamun to be overly sweet, though the balls were well made and just the right consistency. Service was good. Our waiter was welcoming and on top of it, making sure we were well taken care of during our time here.

Overall, this was a great dinner. Large portions, really tasty & authentic (mostly north) Indian food. The service was really good & they were very attentive. Two points - they weren’t really busy when I visited but I stood in the doorway looking around for a host before just sitting wherever, which was a bit weird. Also, for an appetizer & veg curry, it was over $40, which was a bit surprising. All in all, I’ll definitely visit again now I know what to expect & it was really delicious.
