Great experience. Service was good, food delish a bit pricey but so yum!
That Jamaican curry shrimp was amazing. Super flavorful. Also shared jerk chicken, good, thought the mango chutney was interesting.Jerk corn too, no complaints.
I've been to, and revisited this place, ever since they first opened. The food, atmosphere, service is on another level. A must for me when I visit the city. A must
The staff was very hospitable. The chef even came out to greet us! The drinks were delicious. The food was so-so. My entree was salmon, mango chutney & greens. I had to order rice and peas separately because it didn't come with the meal, which surprised me because the other entrees did.
A cute, chill, spot with some lovely veggie options. I had the vegetable roti which was so decadent and delicious, took almost half of it home with me. The coconut pancakes were also super yummy and the texture was really nice. A single use plastic container was used for hot sauce which I was sad about. Loved the food and vibe and wil be back!
Came here to bring family from out of town for a taste of Jamaican food. The establishment is quite quaint inside. Reminds me of one of those "hole in the wall" old breakfast spots or fried seafood spots with the bar stools and old school menu overhead. Anyway, to start off, the service was extremely slow. Our initial waitress, whom we were not informed would be ending here shift shortly after we were seated, took some time to even recognize us. Another waitress, Adriana, had to alert this young lady that we needed to be serviced. Adriana ended up being our waitress for the evening. She was very nice and made every attempt to make up for the slow service. About the slow service: We were seated at 4:45pm and it took almost and hour (ridiculous) for us to receive our appetizers: codfish fritters, mango salad, and basket of mini patties. Though they were good, I hope they change the quantity of the patties because calling it a basket, one would assume that you would be receiving a lot of patties. Nope, only comes with 3 mini patties. The mango salad, which I hear is a big hit, hmm. Not sure what the fuss is about. It's arugula, with shredded carrots, and mango slices. Nothing fancy. Now, it took almost another 45mins to receive our entrees. The manager, I cannot remember her name, really tried her best, like Adriana to ensure we still had a good experience. We ordered the Miss Lily famous jerk chicken and the oxtails. The food was delicious! They gave us a nice size portion of oxtail gravy on the side which was also delicious. We were given a side of sweet plantains on the house, sooo sweet and tasty! It was a family members birthday so they also gave us a round of what we were already drinking and shots. Aww! All of which to make up for the earlier experience. We ended up having a good time. Music was great. Thank you Staff!
Amazing food.Tiana is an amazing bar tender
It's way to expensive for the portion of the food provided. The rice, mac and cheese was excellent. The jerk chicken was sooo blend , not spicy at all. For 26 dollars, I accepted better chicken. The plantins was average. Drinks are a rip off, they are wine based only. Over all , there was nothing magical that I would crave to go bk.
Service - bit slow @ beginning, prob due to COVIDFood - great, COD FISH FRITTERS are AMAZING!!Noise - bit loud indoors, esp if you’re next to a speaker
My wife and daughter were shopping and I was hungry so I made a stop in here. Greeting in service was excellent restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is upbeat and fun. I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting this area and enjoys traditional Jamaican food.
This place never disappoints and I mean never lol. I've come many times. I've ordered the same thing lately which is the oxtail with rice and collard greens. When I tell you the collard greens are the best, omg! Lol. When I first came I ordered fish that was on some kind of coconut sauce and I was so sad when i went back and they taken it off then menu. It was understandable many restaurants menu shortened during the pandemic. So I stuck with the oxtail. I also fell in love with the watermelon drink they have, I'll put the name of it in the picture caption. The staff here are all very nice and helpful. This spot has definitely become a go to for me and my sister when we're out and don't know what we want to eat. We know this spot will never disappoint.
Stopped by with my wife to eat. We ordered two drinks. The glass was a size for a small child. Small drinks for $13. Then we ordered three appetizers but only one was available out of three. Then we ordered two entrees but one was for dinner and we went for lunch. See photos of the utensils wrapped in napkin by scotch tape. Food was good but way over priced. Do not recommend
The BEST Jamaican food my wife and I have ever had! No teeth needed when eating the spare ribs and salmon. And the cod fritters are absolute perfection! Pure Passion drink went down super smooth. Our go to spot for sure!
Food was very good. Music was a little loud and so was some of the people in the restaurant, but overall a very good experience. Jerk salmon was small but still good. Mango chutney sauce is great and the rice and peas is great also. Well seasoned.
