This place is GHETTO. First of all the fact that they don’t have a system that has songs and lyrics available is ridiculous. We had to use YOUTUBE!!! For $40 an hour and TWO MANDATORY DRINKS PER PERSON I could’ve done all that at home. The walls are dirty and the staff aren’t attentive. We asked for water but I had to go out and get it myself because they forgot. It’s not like the place was packed. As a NY native I don’t recommend. There are much better spots than this for more reasonable prices.

Food is ordered in from the restaurant next door. Drinks are always on point. I highly recommend the blossom. During the week day it's way more affordable. Avoid the weekends you only get an hour anyway plus it's a 2 drink minimum and they are strict.

came here for some karaoke after a birthday dinner, the space was quite empty despite being saturday night. the price for the room for a hour wasn't bad ($13/person/hr) but there is a 2 drink minimum. the kitchen was already closed by the time we got there. the actual karaoke space was big, so would be good for big parties or those who want more space but our biggest issue is that the queueing system was so difficult to use. they use youtube as their karaoke program and there doesn't seem to be an option for queue, which is frustrating. the drinks were pretty tasty and they did have mocktail options.

Where do I start? It looks like a decent karaoke place on the outside especially because it's on a weird stretch between 7th and 8th avenues but it fails in so many ways. Here are a few of the many ways: - This is bootleg YouTube karaoke. The employee working told us not to touch the big remote and just use their tablet mounted under the TV loaded with the YouTube app. They must have paid for YouTube Premium so the karaoke videos you searched for were all ad-free. However it seems like they only paid for one YouTube premium account for the whole place that has at least five private karaoke rooms. We kept getting error messages to retry the video because we were already logged somewhere else. - The hour or two of karaoke you pay for gets chipped away quickly because time is wasted searching for a karaoke video via YouTube, and it is impossible to queue up your songs. - Time is chipped away because the worker says you can't use the call button to place orders remotely. You must go down the stairs to place all orders. The worker also wants nothing to do with you once they gave you the spiel about not touching the remote and going to the tablet to look up your songs on YouTube. - Oh, and everyone will have to order something - at least two drinks to be exact. You can't just pay the per hour rate to sing. Each person in the party must order two drinks. And juices and sodas don't count towards the two drink minimum. Roughly, $13 per person before any drinks are ordered. - By the time, you've placed your order and put in your first song, you've already lost almost 15 minutes of time. - There's a timer counting down how much time there is left. No flexibility or leeway to finish your last song. As soon as the timer is at 0, the YouTube app and karaoke system abruptly shuts down even if you are mid-song. I've been plenty of karaoke places around the Manhattan and Queens for the last two decades, but I've never seen one that is run like this. It's almost criminal what they can get away with and charge for "bootleg YouTube Karaoke." I would offer better customer experience in my own living room.

Honestly I would not recommend this karaoke place if you want to rent a room. Go to duet 35 instead. The not so terrible: the space is large and spacious in the main bar area, they have food, mocktails, their wings are really yummy, their karaoke room has a window that overlooks the bar area. The could be better: the service! Absolutely appalling service, had to ask 4 times for water, they wouldn't allow us to charge more than one credit card, when they brought the food they didn't bring plates and gave us one napkin each for eating messy wings. At the end I had asked for a box to pack up stuff we didn't finish and the staff member told me to go get it myself. They cut us off mid song and came into the room to kick us out while there were no clients in any of their other rooms. Auto gratuity of 18% and they don't even tell you. So be aware! The worst was their system, you basically searched on YouTube for karaoke versions of videos, wasn't able to make a play list, you can't search while someone is singing so there is a lag after songs. Then there was an error that kept popping up saying their account was being used in another location. They should upgrade. And you have to stand by the tv to put in any songs. Lastly they have a two drink minimum of mocktails or alcoholic drinks ( soda doesn't count) on top of the per person hourly charge even when we were ordering food. For 5 people our bill was close to $400 for 2 hours of singing, drinks and food. Maybe just sing at the bar perhaps will be better. Anyway I won't be back.

Came here with five friends on a Friday night for some casual drinks and karaoke around 6pm. The place was totally empty, and the bar staff side eyed our group when we came in and wasn't warm or inviting to us at all.Online, it says that happy hour is Tu- Fri from 5pm to 8pm. The bar staff said that since it was Friday, we couldn't get the happy hour specials. Other comments here said that this lounge has karaoke in the main bar/lounge, but that's incorrect, according to the bar staff. Also, despite the place being empty, the bar staff curtly told us that any food order we placed would take longer than an hour. Our group just left and went to one of the twenty other bars in the area. Not going to beg anywhere to take my money or beg a place to make us feel welcome.

Got assaulted at this bar on 12/14/23. I told the bar tenders, two Asian looking guys, there response was, "if you did not call 911 we do not care"... so think twice before going here for any reason.

Rude service, one of the bartenders absolutely no regard for customers, often curses for no reason when you’re trying to talk / put in an order. Also tipped himself with some change made from my bills as if i wouldn’t notice.

Came here randomly to kill time before I got on my train & it was a kool experience, the place was totally empty at the time I came (which I didn't mind lol) I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio & sat at the bar, had a convo with the owner/manager (I think) not sure if they served food but I doubt it. Good place to come back with a group of friends & have some fun.

Truly appalling service. We got a private karaoke room for 20+ people. The bartender was condescending and rude the from the second I walked in. Wondered why, then got the tab and realized gratuity was included and then it made sense (don't need to give real service when you have a built in 18% tip; would have given 25%+ since it was a work event). Save your money and go to another karaoke bar. We were there for a company event and he acted like he was above us all - meanwhile our tab was $1,500. Never have I been disrespected like that at an establishment in years - trash trash trash.

Deceptive Tip Policy! My recent visit to Muse 35 Bar and Karaoke was mostly enjoyable until I stumbled upon a disappointing practice that left a sour taste in my mouth. While everything seemed fine initially, my experience was marred by their deceptive tip policy. It was disheartening to discover that they automatically added a tip to the bill without informing me beforehand. The lack of transparency in automatically including a tip without customer consent is, in my opinion, a shady practice. As a customer, I believe it is my right to decide whether or not to leave a gratuity based on the quality of service I received. Muse 35's decision to automatically add a tip without any prior notice not only violates this principle but also puts customers at risk of inadvertently giving a double tip.Had I not noticed this addition, I would have unknowingly given them a double tip, which is both frustrating and disappointing. This experience left me questioning their integrity and cast a shadow over an otherwise pleasant visit.I believe it is crucial for establishments like Muse 35 Bar and Karaoke to be transparent about their tipping policies. Customers should be informed in advance if a gratuity is automatically included, allowing them to make an informed decision. By omitting this crucial information, Muse 35 failed to uphold a fair and respectful customer-business relationship. While I cannot deny the enjoyable aspects of my visit, this deceptive tip policy significantly diminished my overall impression of the establishment. It is my hope that Muse 35 takes this feedback constructively and reevaluates their tipping practices, fostering a more honest and open environment for their customers. In conclusion, the deceptive practice of automatically adding a tip without informing customers is a disappointing and shady approach that detracts from an otherwise pleasant experience at Muse 35 Bar and Karaoke. I encourage the management to reconsider this policy and prioritize transparency to ensure a positive and respectful relationship with their clientele.

The place was nice but horrible service. I had a great time with friends. Once it was time to pay, one bartender told us one price and the other bartender told us a different price. When the two bartenders were face to face, it was coincidentally the lower price. The prices on the menu were not the same as what they were about to charge us
