Can't go wrong with their eggplant and Jerusalem bagel. The brunch is a prix fixe menu. Very filling.

Booked online to eat outside in the 25 degree weather. Gotta love COVID. It was really cold, but it was better than nothing. I'm a fan of Meir Adoni from his restaurants in Tel Aviv and wanted to check our his NY version. The server was very nice and attentive. The food was all creative and tasty. Lots of highlights in the menu Smoked eggplant, Sesame bagel, and the Panipuri.

This restaurant made me grateful to live in NYC. We stopped in for a spontaneous dinner out. Though the inside was beautiful we opted for the lovely heated outdoor area. The eggplant carpaccio made me remember why I love eggplant. The lamb and souvlaki were at once innovative and comforting. I can't wait to return.

One of the best restaurant I've been to in New York . There are very few restaurants i would keep coming back to and nur is one of them. The pictures and descriptions do not do the food justice. Every single think we tried was amazing . The cocktails were top notch as well . We ordered both breads, the branzino, the lamb, and the roasted eggplant . Run don't walk to nur!

I've been looking forward to trying Nur for a loong time. That Jerusalem bagel plagued my Instagram for years. The ambiance was trendy and chic, but not conducive to having an intimate conversation since it was very loud inside. We got the bagel, eggplant, panpuri, and the ground lamb entree to share. Everything was pretty average and but pricey for what you get. The eggplant had a crazy amount of smokiness that felt like I was eating a really peaty whiskey that I wasn't enjoying. The bagel was nutty with all the sesame seeds with a nice chew on the inside and crisp on the outside. The panpuri with yuzu flavored cream cheese and tuna confused my tongue a little. I liked the contrasting textures, but the dairy mixed with fish was strange. I think I enjoyed the ground lamb entree the most. It was like a lamb burger stuffed in pita bread. Super juicy, flavorful, and gamey.

Went for brunch, the food was good - tasty Jerusalem bagel & dips, and a refreshing dessert. But that’s the only positive thing I have to say.The service was unbelievably slow. We were there for 2 hours. One of the servers offered us extra bread after we requested it and then it never showed up. We reminded them again literally 3 times - yes 3 - and it still never showed up, despite them claiming it would. After complaining about the service, instead of apologizing the server became defensive. We then saw all the tables around us also waiting for their food and starting to make their own complaints. Staff your restaurant appropriately and don’t make false promises for food that never arrives!!

Made a reservation for Thursday night dinner and this place was packed. I read comments earlier that their service is slow, however, for us the service was really good. Our server was constantly checking on us to make sure we have everything we need. Their breads are to die for. They come fresh, warm and moist in the inside. I also ordered the Kubaneh(not in the picture) which was so so good. It was crispy from the outside and moist and salty from the inside. Can't forget the octopus as it delicious and perfectly cooked. It had a hint of curry oil and tahini with roasted cauliflower. I do understand that their menu is slightly on the pricey side however, you get what you paid for. Their food is really good. I will be going back again to try their famous lamb chops.

My friends and I love coming here for brunch (I'd give that a 5 star!) so we wanted to try it for dinner. We were a medium sized party and had almost everything on the menu. Really recommend the eggplant, and of course the kubaneh. For mains, our favorite was the jaffa souvlaki. The lamb chops were also very good. The duck breast was pretty good, however the broccolini felt like biting cinnamon straight from the jar - too spiced up. The reason for the 3 stars is the bad service. We had a solid 1.5h delay between our apps and our mains. We inquired about mains and they came up immediately, meaning they were just sitting on the kitchen and someone mixed up bringing it to us. So the food was a bit cold/ it would have been great to mix some of the mains with the breads we ordered.

I had to go to the ER an hour before our reservation, and in the tumult did not call to cancel. Was charged $120 ($30/person) for no-show. I called the restaurant twice to ask if we could perhaps work something out. I even offered to show my discharge papers to prove that I was in the ER at the exact time of our reservation. I was going to suggest a credit, not a refund, because I would have been happy to come back another time with a big party. But I never got the chance to even ask. One time, a man took my number and said he'd call me back; he never did. Another time I was asked to hold, and then no one ever picked up the phone. I totally understand that it's hard for restaurants when people ghost on reservations. If they said no to my proposal, fine. But they were totally dismissive and disingenuous. Don't say you'll call me back when you haven no intention to.

This is probably the best brunch I've ever had and definitely the best in New York! The place has a set menu for brunch where you simply sit and eat as much as you can and want and every single item they comes out of that kitchen is simply amazing!Must visit!

We came a few minutes late but the staff were amazing in accommodating us at the end of the night. The food and drinks were simply amazing. Panipuri is a must. It's unique and oh so delicious. Octopus is juicy and melts in your mouth. Tuna credo is a very interesting combination of tuna and garlic, among other ingredients, that's pure delight. Highly recommend

I feel conflicted in giving this review because Nur came highly recommended from many of our friends and we expected the experience to match that hype, unfortunately it did not.First of all, I would say that the food we got was great. We really enjoyed the octopus and lamb chops we ordered...the problem was that we had to wait ~45 mins after getting our sesame bagel appetizer before we got the entrees. Throughout the wait, no one came by to check on us and we were basically left in limbo. It's such a shame because the food was great, but I can't justify waiting 45mins for it to come, especially for the price we are paying. There is clearly an issue going on with the kitchen that night as other tables around us were also waiting for a similar if not longer time period (strangely, the table next to us who was seated 20 mins after we arrived got their entrees 5 mins after us....). In any case, I'm not ruling Nur out just yet because I think the food is good enough to warrant another visit. Hence why I plan to revisit my 1 star rating on our next visit (I hope management is listening and fixes these issues with the service time by then). All in all, good food, poor service which is a shame, but I hope I'll report a better rating the next time.
