This one of those understated, cozy, restaurants that really try to perfect their craft. Had dinner here and the pasta was excellent. Loved the regginette, fried artichokes, and arugula salad, and flourless chocolate cake. One of the best Italian meals I've had in a while. And they offered gluten free options!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free for almost all pastas, and even gluten free apps and desserts!

This restaurant is so cute! It’s very neighborhoody and cozy and it’s a great option for a date night! Their pasta is amazing and they have a good wine selection too. We went there around 8pm on a Friday and we had a reservation, which I recommend cuz the place was at capacity (there might have been one or two other open tables). I highly recommend this spot if you live in Chelsea

Great little Italian spot in Chelsea with a neighborhood feel. Service was perfect and the food was delicious. Got the winter caponata and the butternut squash to start and it was the perfect autumn appetizer as we were there Nov. 8th. For entrees we got the Paccheri alla Genovese and the halibut from the specials menu, which were both spectacular. The grass fed flank steak ragu in the Paccheri was amazing. Halibut cooked perfectly. Also got some salted cheesecake balls for dessert which were great with the strawberry compote. Would definitely come back here when we're next in town.Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating of gluten free requests and have gluten free pasta available.

Big surprise- I hardly ever pick restaurants based on location alone but one of my stand by cafes was closed & Pastai was nearby. Really excellent food @ fair price mark with reasonable bottles as well. I will returning soon!

This place is a fantastic Italian restaurant! ?? Pastai offers a wonderful selection of fresh delicious ? pasta ?, salads ?, and other authentic Italian dishes ?️ - definitely try their Cauliflower Pasta with thick hallow pasta and the Chocolate ? Cake! ? The staff ?? is super friendly and welcoming, service is professional and quick ⏲️, ambience ? is fantastic, the music ? is great, and the place is nicely decorated. ?️ I wish I knew about this place sooner!
dropped in to pastai for a quick lunch. we were greeted by the most lovely man (they opened the doors 30 minutes early for us) and he was so helpful in helping us decide on what to get. basically every pasta but the ravioli and lasagna could be made gluten free and this pasta did NOT disappoint. the decor was ADORABLE and felt like a home away from home.

Walked in for dinner during restaurant week. We decided a la carte vs restaurant week didn't make a big difference, so we ended up ordering a la carte. The food was great although I did need to add salt/spice per my own preferences. Service was great and the restaurant was cute! I would come back.
