Bloody Mary was way to spicy and tasted like cocktail sauce. The environment was chill. I didnt try the food but it looked good

This was the first time I had been at the Pig & Whistle in almost thirty years having come here in the 1990's when I was working at Macy's . The bar had just reopened two months ago after being closed for three months for COVID. The menu was very limited but still nice. The service was slow as it was busy that afternoon being such a nice sunny day and a lot of people were eating outside and there were only two waiters and bartenders. The place was really busy. They knew how to mix a drink. I had a wonderful Cosmo and it hit the spot. The Buffalo Chicken Wings were really good, perfectly cooked and juicy and meaty. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was just okay. It could have used a lot more barbecue sauce. My friend had the meatball sub that was just okay too. It could have used more tomato sauce. The food was just average. Where the bar makes up for this is in atmosphere. The place is really nice and very comfortable. With all the outdoor dining and on a nice day, it has such nice circulation and a great breeze. The seats are also so comfortable. It's a nice old fashioned bar in the Garment District.

One of my favourite bars in NYC just off times square. Great atmosphere, good pub food and live music most nights when I was there.

4 of us went here for dinner Feb 2020. I was not crowded. We ordered the buffalo bites, french onion soup($9), cobb salad ($18) and good size and 2 burgers. Burgers were $16.50 with cheese. All the food was delicious. Server was attentive and guiness - well goes without saying!! Would visit again.

Ordered food and drinks and everything was amazing. The staff is super nice. The staff members seem to work well as a team and will even check on each other's tables to make sure everything is good. Definitely a pleasant experience

Great place off time square, visited in the holidays, what made it was the upstairs bar tender, hard working and very attentive ?

I was here with my husband before the pandemic in march. It was so cool I didn't know the place had a an upstairs. The drinks were so good and the service was great

This location of Pig n Whistle has 2 floors. We had a reservation and were seated at a tiny, high top table in the bar area on the first floor...which is very dark. The waitress was attentive and made a point of cleaning the table while we watched due to the current situation (Coronavirus). We ordered a house salad to share (as an appetizer) , fish tacos and shepherd's pie. Unfortunately, all 3 items were brought out at the same time....to our tiny table :) The food was delicious however the salad should have been brought to the table before the entrees. The Pig n Whistle has a separate gluten free menu for those avoiding gluten.

Strolling back to our hotel and found this lovely bar, ordered food and definitely not disappointed, food was fresh, hot and tasty, had a few beers and really enjoyed ourselves, and relaxed after a hard days sightseeing. Went a second time and on our last day, and again food and drinks were great. Lovely bar serving nice food, good choice of drinks and excellent service..

Food and drink were good. Atmosphere was nice. Service was spotty. Waitress disappeared or was overwhelmed by a party of four. Order was missing items which kitchen brought out after they were cancelled. Might visit again if on the area but more likely to try some place else.

Considering we're round Times Square we were thinking our meals & drinks would be expensive. This place is great value!! It's lovely, as is the food! Great value for money and lovely staff. The ambience is lovely and free wifi too - what more do you need?! Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

I would highly recommend a visit to this wonderful pub and restaurant in NYC. The staff are absolutely fantastic....... Jason with his gorgeous smile , Danny and the cheeky grin and Emma and Lia who were so friendly and informative.......we just had to keep going back. The Pomegranate Martinis are unbelievable and included in Happy Hour (dangerous) and on our second visit we had dinner which was also delicious. Without a doubt it was one of the highlights of our trip and will be on our itinerary for all future NY visits.
