This place is terrific! The special sushi and barna roll truly excellent. BYO helps with the fairly pricy tab. Service is very attentive. Major problem is the deafening sound. I go early, before 6, which works for me. Great alternative to Seki and Gari. Highly recommend.

Seriously, the most consistent, fresh, creative, legendary, delicious and nutritious 15 star sushi spot in all of NYC. I am a regular customer (as proven by the merch I own lol) and I have ALWAYS had an amazing meal with the most kind waitstaff and service in Manhattan. Cash only, BYOB, no reservations-- and the place is filled each night, so you know it's truly a treasure in the UES. Here's a list of my and my friend's most fave rolls: *Tuna Bomb (record is for 8 in one order, off menu item that is fresh tuna wrapped around a crispy kind a rice mixture??!) *Salmon Bomb (same same but different than above) *Truffle roll (what put Poke on the map!) *Kani Kama (so fresh) *Kamikaze (so clean) *Xmas (so creative) *Jackfish (ft Truffle oil) *Toro Scallion *Rainbow (good mixture of fish) *Crispy rice ++the fact that this is all from memory is a little concerning??++

Great BYOB, cash only spot for sushi. No reservations but didn't have any trouble getting a table around 630pm on a week night. Delicious sushi. The truffle sushi was very delicious and light. If you like truffle, it's worth a try. They let us sit there for a nice long time too which I really appreciated.

This place started out as a small shack on the other end of 85th street. BJ has done a great job building it into a big restaurant. Food and service are amazing as usual and can't go wrong with BYOB.
