The wait was around 45 minutes to get a table for two with no reservation. We got the woodear & oyster mushroom potsticks for appetizers. The potstickers were really big and filling; I like it a lot but maybe a bit too salty? The spicy sauce was really good and strong. Then, we had the oyster mushroom rice roll noodles and crispy drunken chicken with shrimp. My favorite dish of the night was definitely the rice roll noodles; it’s simple, chewy, and just fun to eat. The drunken chicken portion was actually quite large. I like the fact that it was cut up before hand though and it actually goes pretty well with the sauce from the potstickers instead of its own one. We tried the dessert of the day; it’s salty chocolate ice cream with toppings and another flavor. I did not like the dessert as much; it would’ve been cool to have asian desserts too to keep up with the restaurant theme.

I have bookmarked this place for a long time, and finally got a chance to try it. They are always full on resy and you will need to rely on luck if you can get a table when people cancel the day before, before the cancellation fee kicks in.The restaurant was full. The menu is small. Probably 5 apps, 5 mains and 3 veggies. We ordered the tuna crudo, jellyfish, salt pepper fried chicken with scallion biscuits, fried rice rolls with oyster mushrooms, and eggplant for a party of 4. Aside from the tuna, everything else were quite salty, especially the eggplant. We had to add white rice to go with the dishes. If I had to pick the best dish, the fried chicken might be it but I didn’t enjoy the sauce that came with it (somewhat sweet) and the scallion biscuits were somewhat dry.As for drinks, I ordered one of the yuzu sake cocktail ($15) and I barely tasted any sake! So I’m not sure what’s going on there. They also did not have their famous pineapple soft serve when we visited.Service was almost non existent, aside from stopping by to serve the dishes, no one asked if we needed anything throughout the whole meal …If you are coming for just the gram and photos and nicely decorated food and perhaps the atmosphere, maybe this is your place but if you are looking for good Chinese food or Chinese fusion food, then look elsewhere.

Food, ambiance, and staff is 10/10! We went around dinner time and it is definitely a wait but WORTH it. We ordered drinks and many dishes to try. We had the potstickers, salt and pepper chicken w/ scallion biscuits, and the oyster mushrooms rice noodles. I love the new twist to these childhood meals that I grew up with. Everything is still family style and it’s nice to be able to share all these dishes. I would come back again.

I wanted to hate this place thinking it was an Instagram trap (see: Bad Roman).I was pleasantly surprised. Good food, good portions, good atmosphere. Our server (Anna?) was so amazing and seriously so friendly from start to finish. One con: tuna portion felt very small for the price point. And no dole whip available for dessert :(definitely would go back!

I’d go back for the fried chicken with biscuits. Overall dishes felt too heavy handed with sauce. Great place for group dinner though.

If you manage to snap a reservation you should definitely go. The staff is great but food is even better. It’s legit good! But don’t expect crazy alcohol selection.Btw, upgrade rice noodles with steak it’s amazing

Mid-food, excellent atmosphere. I ordered fried chicken & biscuits, pot stickers, and mushroom noodles. They were good, but nothing I haven’t tasted before. The mushroom noodle was especially disappointing.

Unique decor with old movie references throughout the restaurant. The Xo fried rice was really tasty!

Super cool brunch spot - if you are lucky to snag a reservation I highly recommend. Went with a group of 3 for brunch on a rainy Saturday and the place was busy! Amazing service, even better tunes, and delicious food. We loved the endive salad, the chicken sandwich was awesome, and the beef chow mein was super tasty (loved the crunchy noodles). Also the French toast (the more decadent one) is not to be missed. Tasty milk tea - get it! Great prices too, didn’t feel like I had to break the bank on brunch, which is a nice feeling these days in NYC! Also 10/10 decor/ interior styling.

Nice spot. Went for brunch. Both toasts were lovely, as was the chowmein. The special tea coffee mix was really nice too. One star off as I think the fries and pork belly sandwich were a bit average.Decently priced, about 30 a head for all this and tips

I ordered berkshire pork&chive potstickers as a starter, and oyster mushroom rice roll noodles as a main course. The ravioli were a mystical experience, covered in a slightly sweet and sour and aromatic spicy sauce, I could have eaten a hundred of them, definitely one of the best dishes I have eaten in recent times. The rice noodles did not have that strong and unique flavor that characterized the starter but they were still excellent (it was the starter that was well above expectations).I also had one of their recommended drinks, the mix of honey and lemon was perfect for refreshing my mouth between bites. It's a shame about the absence of dessert from the menu, it would have been the perfect conclusion to an otherwise impeccable dinner.A note of merit also for the service, attentive and courteous. I will definitely be back for their brunch!
