Yikes!! This Pret engages in the unethical practice of destroying then tossing food on the street. So many businesses donate leftovers…disturbing to see this horrible practice happening at this Pret. Please feel free to reach out if you want help coordinating a donation system to remedy this.

Decent location always clean nice staff. The only thing is they're overpriced for their size but that's the same with all prets. For ex got their smoked salmon sub, which they don't always have so seems special of the day or seasonal - 1 tiny piece of salmon is not worth $8. May be the person who prepped it but it didn't even cover the bread. I'd been better off at a bodega next door. Best to stick with the stuff they always make and is consistent - soups, the triangle sandwiches etc. which is typically good and fresh.

First time at this location was 2 weeks ago and the person was so nice and so attentive. Even the Manager spoke and was very nice. This time-- my second time -- HORRIBLE experience. As I waited by the cash register to place an order (there was no one there to take orders) the staff member came back and as I stood in front of them , they proceeded to call someone else over to help them. When I pointed out the error, no acknowledgement nor apology. They continued to take the other persons order. It went down from there (ie, provided wrong info, unpleasant, and just not nice.)I'm good. I'll go elsewhere.

Food at Pret is always reliably fresh wholesome. This is the franchise to look for if I were traveling and looking for a quick wholesome bite to eat. Lately the prices have been raised though. There appears to be 3 locations in this area! I recall being able to get half-size servings for less than $5 but not anymore. I tried their new pumpkin pie latte expecting something similar to Starbucks pumpkin spice latte. Goodness! Was I disappointed! The service was quick. I wish she would have reminded me to use my reward QR code! ( I keep forgetting. I wanted to see what I'd get if I actually remembered to scan 10 purchases!!) The ambiance was as expected for a Pret. This location had some cozy-looking booths in the back though.

FIRST of a the staff at this location. (E 41st and Third Ave) are SO kind and attentive. SECOND...Why no tip jar? This staff at 9am are working so hard. Why isn't the public allowed to tip people as WE THE PUBLIC SEE FIT? For the love of all humanity let them have a tip jar.

I have gone to Pret's more than 100 times over the past decades throughout NYC. It is not gourmet, but they almost always have something to grab if you are in a rush. The better Pret venues are large, since the large ones rarely run out of vegan items. This one is medium-sized, with restrooms available. I was walking by, popped into this branch and grabbed a "Rainbow Veggie Sandwich" (one of the 3 vegan items I saw today), and went on my way--the sandwich was pretty good and served its need.

Pret can be a fast place to get a reasonable bite with reasonable calories, and a coffee and treat if you wish. We prefer the salad offerings, but the Moroccan lentil soup is textured, reliable, and even uncommonly scrumptious on a cold day. One of the better chains for freshness and healthy options.

Food is as usual. Reliable sandwiches and soups. My only complaint is that for all the staff here the check out takes a long time. If this process can be faster it would be perfect.

First - this location is not closed. I have been going here for months. I have had a few things in the lunch fridge -- today was the Mediterranean mezze salad though I've had the salmon salad, a warm bowl, etc. It's fast and a few dollars less than more memorable & tasty salads from other places. Today, my falafel tasted like it had ice in the middle. This location gets picked over by 1 PM so the dregs tend to be left. It's odd that Pret in the US is so unlike what one gets elsewhere in terms of variety and quality (eg, Paris).

Overpriced. Sandwiches are smaller then ever. Giant bread and small contents. This location is old and faded. Dust balls on the floor if you look. No reason to eat here really.
