We don’t live in NY anymore but we really enjoyed Pulkies when we did. We ordered it to our new home via Goldbelly and it was so delicious and easy!We recently sent Pulkies to our parents as a birthday gift. My father and his best friend (>75 year old Jewish men) said that the brisket was better than any brisket they’ve ever had. This is the highest of praise you can get. My mother could not stop raving about the cucumber salad and babka bread pudding.Because they had such a great experience we also sent it to our friends from NY who are living in Florida, they gave us the same great feedback.Pulkies has become a real crowd pleasing unique go-to gift for us to give friends and family around the country. Thanks for keeping us all so well fed!!

This is a great lunch spot! Came by for a quick lunch while in downtown and got a platter with the chipotle chickpea chili, mac n' cheese, and a cucumber salad. It was all amazing! The cucumber salad was filled with dill and was quite refreshing. The mac n' cheese was like a baked mac n' cheese, which was different, and had a sweet topping. The star of the show was the chili. It was totally banging. Full of BBQ flavor and chunks of roasted garlic. I would totally try it in sandwich form. Everything came with a yummy personal sized piece of cornbread. The food is A+ and very filling. Like, I doubt I'll eat dinner tonight cause it was tight, like the waistline of my pants. The one downside: they have a lot of veggie sides, but sadly, a majority of them wasn't veg friendly. It would be dope to have more options for vegetarians. Service was excellent and friendly! Looking forward to a def future visit to Pulkies!

Pulkies dishes do not miss. They're putting in a strong bid for top BBQ joint in NYC.You won't have a bad time no matter your order, however, a few highlights for me were the bbq turkey (puts most pulled pork dishes to shame), mashed sweet potato, and cinnamon babka bread pudding. Also grab a gallon of the pimento cheese to snack on and thank me later.

This review is solely for the brisket. I ordered half a pound and paid $28. Dude, not worth it, way overpriced. Brisket was mediocre at best and a bit dry. I love brisket and left disappointed, especially since there are other great spots to eat in the market. I can’t say for anything else on the menu and the staff was nice.

I been here a few times and each time the service have been very good. Friendly and they wrap up my food nicely. This time I tried something different. I tried out the Oreo cream pie. They sprinkle the crushed Oreos on top before handing it to me which was a nice touch. It's creamy and chocolaty. I do like the bread pudding more though.

Thank you, Pulkies for a fantastically savory dinner during Hanukkah. I ordered through Goldbelly and had the vegan stuffed cabbages, Kugel, and cucumber salad sent to our home in rural Michigan. It was so tasty and fresh! My family's only complaint was that I didn't order enough! Next time I know to get a meal for 8-10 for my family of 4.

Edible but not tasty. Just not good. Doesn’t taste good. Lol. I wish I had a better way of explaining it but it’s far too expensive to not taste good.

I had been wanting to try this place out for awhile, as I’m always searching for new vegetarian options. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. I ordered the vegan sloppy Joseph and the lack of freshness made me wonder how long ago it had been made. The quality and taste of the food was simply just not good. For $15 I expected a much better meal, and am disappointed that I wasted my money here. The pasta salad was extremely bland and tasteless, and for the amount of “meat”, I definitely would have needed another bun if I had enjoyed it enough to keep eating.

Edit- second time eating here and even better than the first. Officially addicted to the pulled turkey. The sweet potato side with the turkey was heaven.I don’t often have bbq but was lured by meat and hot sides as I’m on a diet and looking for low carb options. The pulled turkey is yummy and it feels like thanksgiving. Sides are good too. Honestly the serving is big enough to eat it two times so it’s worth the price in my opinion

My wife and I ordered a Thanksgiving spread from Pulkies. We live in Las Vegas and had used Goldbelly before for special meals. My wife's family came from Poland and Russia, and we were both impressed with the entire order we received from Pulkies for its authenticity, taste, and preparation. Because of a bit of confusion, Nicholas from the company got directly involved and added extra items we had not ordered. Though the Thanksgiving holiday delayed the shipment, the folks at Pulkies had done an outstanding packing job so everythng was great. Everything from the brisket and turkey, to the kugel and cucumber salad were first class. Well-prepared, tasty food coupled with personal involvement from people like Nicholas made this a very special treat for us. Thank you Nicholas and Pulkies.

Had the Mac and Cheese Kugel and Cornbread and it was absolutely delicious. Not only that, but the people working there were really cool and hooked me up. Any time I visit my sister in law in Brooklyn, this place will be on my shortlist of food destinations. Prices for regular food is decent too, if we weren't going to a big dinner I would've gone for one of their plates. Highly recommended.
