AMAZING EXPERIENCEThe hostess and manager were kind enough to seat us despite a late arrival a few minutes after the kitchen was scheduled to close. This superior hospitality was our theme throughout the evening. The server ANFERNEE was prompt, professional, and polite while attending all of our needs. TEXAS-sized portions reminded us back home. Delicious food, tasty cocktails, and wonderful music made this a night to remember.Vegetarian options: The jerk cauliflower was spicy and delicious. The asparagus was roasted to perfection. The mashed potatoes were buttery, creamy goodness.

Had shrimp and grits and a piece of yard bird. They were all pretty good. Yard bird was fried perfectly, and shrimp and grits were seasoned nicely.

A pleasant experience , as I was visiting the area with my partner. Friendly welcoming hostess with a great ambiance, was a bit skeptical as the gluten free menu didn’t provide too many options, but our server fizan had recommended me to substitute the pasta for garlic mash on the bucatini and it was one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever had! my girl loved the cornbread as well as the salmon bowl. Will be coming back! Hit the mark on all fronts.

My friend T and I have been friends for going on 35 years. She’s in town from DC, so I we had to go somewhere special—Red Rooster never disappoints! We went back to the essentials: yard bird and mac & greens. The staff is incredible—Fozan took such wonderful care of us! And the music on Soul Session Mondays is sublime!??????

Thigh and drumstick were huge and delicious. Would go back for those. Mac&greens tasted good but Mac was overcooked so not much texture. Any drink can be made into a mocktail.

You feel loved from the moment you walk in. The maitre d was radiant, the lady mc'ing the Monday night music event warm, friendly and engaging. The barman excelled at recommending the food choice. Wine was great too. Love this place.

We went to try their famous chicken and waffle. The atmosphere was great, live jazz music (we went on a Sunday at brunch time) and we loved it. The only thing less good, the food, the chicken arrived somewhat raw and the waffle, on the contrary that appears in its photos, was very thin.So if you want to try it, and there are two of you, I recommend ordering another dish and sharing, so you can try more things. But the service and atmosphere, EXCELLENT

Each time I visit NYC, stopping by Red Rooster Harlem is an absolute must for me, a tradition steeped in love and appreciation. The vibe here is unmatched; it’s laid-back yet grown, with a hint of sexy, but the invitation is clear: come as you are because everyone is welcome. The walls are adorned with paintings that narrate our collective story, adding depth and character to an already captivating environment. Not to mention, the space is super clean and impeccably managed, reflecting their commitment to excellence. The staff at Red Rooster are the embodiment of warmth and professionalism, making them the most accommodating and pleasant individuals in the entire city. They’re incredibly attentive, ensuring your comfort and satisfaction, yet their presence is never overbearing.During my latest visit, I had the incredible opportunity to enjoy the mesmerizing performances by Nate Lucas All Stars and Ms. Deborah Newsllo. The blend of live music with a delectable meal truly elevates the dining experience to new heights. My culinary adventure included indulging in all my favorites: the greens, tomatoes, chicken wings, and the irresistibly good cornbread. After navigating the hustle and bustle of the city, a Lemon Drop cocktail was the perfect choice to transition into a relaxing evening, setting just the right vibe.Red Rooster isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a beautiful space brimming with even more beautiful souls. The attention to detail and the genuine care in every aspect of the experience are palpable. To let you know just how much I adore this place, consider this: I travel all the way from Nashville, Tennessee, and always stay in Times Square. Despite the distance, Red Rooster Harlem is always worth the journey. It truly is Harlem’s best-kept secret, a gem that shines brightly in the heart of the city, and a testament to the magic that happens when a place genuinely welcomes and celebrates everyone who walks through its doors.

Don't try to show up here with a reservation past 8pm even the host says it's okay. Just poor customer service!Last night I first called at 8pm to ask when they closed and spoke to the host, about 15 minutes later called back and it was sent to a VM. Tried again, several times to the same or similar results - also tried booking a table but they had been closed for the day. At this point I remember the host telling me you can just come in and sit at the bar right now and even past 9pm so I jumped in a cab and told my friend from out of town to do the same and we met up there - while I was in the cab I kept trying to call to see if I could get us a table. When I arrive a few minutes after 9pm I'm denied at the door by the security guard (he was 100% professional and super nice! 5 stars to him).I kind of filled him in and he asked the manager and they denied me sooo I'm just very confused why you would say you can make reservations up till 9pm but when people try to book tables either on OPENTABLE or by calling it just goes to voicemail or rings and then when they arrive a few minutes after 9pm you deny them entry even though the place was still with music and people were still drinking at the bar.Horrible customer service.
