The ingredients are great, the atmosphere is great, the sincerity is top notch. Kosa is on hold. A small and warm environment. Thank you for your interest and taste.

I had the eggplant parmesan hero. It was a large portion with plenty of cheese and buttery eggplant, with plenty of sauce and bold garlicky flavor. The bread did get a bit soggy by the end, but that wasn't a huge deal. Another minor annoyance is that the cheese got really stuck to the wax paper and was hard to get off. Though the flavors are good, I'm not sure $19 for the sandwich was really worth it.

I just ate at the Regina's Grocery at 300 E 88th St. Visually my friends and I were transported into a jewel of a wonderful store in Italy. There were family pictures all around and the friendliest of people waiting on us. The sandwiches we ordered were over the top fabulous. The provolone cheese was perfectly sharp, the meat was all perfectly cut and among the best I have had on an Italian sandwich anywhere as was the bread. Since we all were taking the sandwiches home, they put the contents in a container so the bread wouldn't get soggy. What a great experience in all categories of food, service and ambience.

This place is hands down authentic Italian food the place to get a sub. To start, the people, the service, was super friendly. Nice people. Definitely a hole in the wall but trust the process. As we walked in someone was boasting about how good the chicken cutlet sandwich was. Both my friend and I's food was hands down amazing. So fresh and I even ate the other half 4 hours later, unrefrigerated, and through the pouring rain and it was still perfect. I will be returning, and you should be going!!

This unassuming sandwich shop is an homage to a bygone era of Italian sandwich shops I grew up going to. The walls are littered with vintage photos from a family photo album. And the shelves are covered with Italian olive oil and other staples of Nona’s kitchen. The shop is small, with only a few two-top tables against the walls. The menu is also small and features a small selection of classic combinations of Italian deli meats, a few based on chicken and at least one of chicken of the sea. There are also salads, but I didn’t see anyone ordering one, so let’s say a sandwich is the move. Each sandwich is about 8”-10” and is made on classic American Italian bread—firm on the outside and spongy on the inside to absorb the EVOO (extra virgin olive oil.I ordered an Uncle Jimmy (see photo) w/o cheese, and my buddy ordered the Uncle John. Both are classic and as advertised—just the right balance of protein to bread to vinegar and veg.I think this might be my new favorite spot. I can’t eat deli meat every day, so I might only be able to make a pilgrimage once every couple of weeks, but I know my fictitious Nonna would be proud that I am eating well.

Cute mom and pop shop vibes inside with about 4 tables to sit at. The Uncle Jimmy had a nice kick to it. The sandwiches are large and was a great size to split between two for lunch.

Delicious ass sandwich. Exactly what you want when you see photos and it tastes better then expected. Nice overall vibe. Service was quick and sweet.

The Italian-American family owned vibes at @reginasgrocery is so cute! They have a couple seats for a cozy indoor dining experience. The mozzarella was fresh and my first bite already reminds me so much of Italy ??
