COCKROACH ON THE BAR! A DISGUSTING ESTABLISHMENT! MY EXPERIENCE THIS PAST FRIDAY 9/22/23... My friend (who was celebrating her birthday weekend) and I went into this restaurant with high hopes- the place is cute and the menu looked good although they were very little people in the place (should have known better and not go inside as everywhere else was hopping) . We sat at the bar and there were 3 men at the other end of the really small bar smoking hookah and drinking. The bartender was catering to them while we were there. We ordered the fried rice and the yucca fries which were tasty and a few drinks. While we were eating, a large COCKROACH came running up the bar and towards our food and might have even sang happy birthday to my friend. I started trying to kill it/take it off the bar with my napkin...while this was going on, the 3 guys at the bar did nothing and were watching. The bartender comes back from waitressing the few tables and when I told her what had happened she shrugged it off and said "oh, we turned on the heat the other day and sometimes this happens" and like she didn't give a shit about our experience. Then she left and one of the guys who was DRINKING AND SMOKING at the bar came around the bar to clear our 2 plates...like WTF...you work here Mr.Hookah guy??? And then he had the nerve to ask how things were as if he didn't witness it all with his hookah eyes and asked if I wanted my food to go?? I think I was in shock and couldn't believe his hookah cojones so I said yes, wrap it up (meanwhile no way in hell were me and my friend going to touch the food). I paid the bill, which I shouldn't have done in retrospect, left them NO TIP, and should have called the health dept. on them on the spot. I will never return and will tell everyone I know and will write as many reviews about my experience as I possibly can to take down this JOKE OF A ROACH SHOW...so unprofessional and so reeking of lack of customer respect and class. Hope you continue to enjoy your hookah and drinks DISGUSTING "OWNERS" and "MANAGEMENT"

The food was so delicious. It's a Peruvian restaurant. The service and staff was amazing. They do nice and very attentive. Clara which she was my server: Bartender and she was beautiful foal and vibe. The ambiance was very classy and elegant. The green chair and the red Rose as chandelier decor. I love it

The food was terrible and the menu online does not match the menu at the restaurant. I ordered the chicken causa appetizer and the mixed ceviche. The causa were three small bites and the ceviche tasted like sunny delight. To add insult to injury our server was on the phone the entire time. Yes you read correctly, she carried a plate in one hand and a phone in the other. Needless to say I will not be going back.

Just had my baby shower here this past weekend. It was amazing! The service from Janel and Loraine (thank you guys for being sooo attentive and taking care of us), the ambiance, the decor, and the food were all top notch. Our guests truly enjoyed it and had nothing but great things to say about everything. Even when my friend and I went a few days before to check out the spot the waitresses there were super friendly and helpful. Feels like such a women empowered spot! Love it! Thank you Retazitos for helping us make great memories for such a special moment. We will recommend to everyone and definitely be back! ~Kathy and Justin

We went to The Cloisters for an afternoon and we’re feeling artistically inspired! The windchill was below 10° and on the way back, we simply wanted to go to the warmer indoors. Retazitos provides that perfect haven. With beautiful decor of vibrant colors it was an instant head nod from the group. We tried Papas Bravas for appetizer and Chaufa with pork belly for our entree which were both delicious. Papas Bravas in my opinion was a little bit of a let down, but that’s all right because Chaufa definitely made up for it. I would have tried a number of their other appetizers since almost all of them looked delicious! We slushed it all down with incredible cocktails. We shared two of them- El Estupido and another one with sea salt, can’t remember the name. Definitely loved both of them. They brought complimentary chips and salsa for the table, which were much appreciated by the group since we were all starving. And at the end- the check came out in the cutest sewing box. It definitely played into the quirkiness of the restaurant. The music initially was pretty loud that my Apple Watch started to notify me that “I was in a loud environment”. However, requesting to turn down the music, the staff complied and turned it down after a couple of asks.Their Yuka fries with truffles is something everyone should definitely order for the table.
