Juan Carlos Calva

The rudest hostess in Town. What a shame.

While the food was delicious, the service left a lot to be desired. I noted a birthday celebration on the reservation but nothing was said or done. The hostess seemed less than enthused when we arrived. Upon seating upstairs, we waited 25 minutes for our drink and table side guac, which we only received after asking the guac man, who apparently was never given the order. Dinner arrived an over an hour after being seated. Both partied on our right and left were disgruntled by waiting for their food or to even be acknowledged. One couple was oh able to place a drink order because we asked our waitress to please help them. Maybe it was an off day for the restaurant. Our food was delicious but the service needs work.

Guacamole is as good as I remembered and the spicy version is not actually that spicy. Not many vegan options though.

We have a reservation at 6:15 and arrive at 5:45. There’s plenty of seat available but we can not get in until 6:15. Don’t understand why. Bad experience.

Save your money! The food was extremely disappointing. Every item we tried was unsatisfactory. Overall, a negative dining experience.

First time ever at this place so I was a little skeptical about it because I don’t always trust the pictures on Google, is safe to say that the pictures didn’t lie. My girlfriend and I were taken care of by Massielle R who made sure we had the best experience. The food was amazing, but I just wished the steak had a little more flavor. We had the pomegranate signature cocktail and it was so gooddd. For dresser we try the margarita lime tart, which I will be going back for because of how good it was. We were also visited by the amazing manager Andres who was making sure everyone was as having a good time and enjoying their experience. I would definitely say, it was a little more pricey than I expected but it was worth it.

Delicious margaritas and spectacular guacamole! The place is beautiful but the music is too loud and it's hard to talk.

The first impression is absolutely beautiful with a wall of water flowing from the ceiling. The staff were very quick to get us seated and served. We got our drinks quickly and the menus were very interesting from other Mexican restaurants I've been to. Mondays through Fridays offer a special plan with an appetizer and a main meal, which I ordered the queso and the pork carnitas tacos. The tacos are small but very filling, and the tortillas are expertly made and don't rip. The queso was rich and creamy. The food overall was amazing and delicious, and it was also served very quickly.

They prepare the guacamole in front of you, which is amazing! Although it's a bit pricey, the food is delicious.

7 years later - still inauthentic substandard food and very average service. Don’t go here if you’re looking for good Mexican food in NYC - there literally 100s of better choices. If you need something with more taste and less bad attitude service, go to Anejo or El Centro nearby. If you want some of the best Mexican NYC has to offer, go to Casa Enrique in Long Island city queens. This place is for those who don’t know better.I found this place to be pretty average for all the hype surrounding it. The portions are pretty large. An appetizer and a main between two people would suffice.

Great service and atmosphere. But the food isnt good, very bland, boring and not worth the price. Wouldn't recommend it.

Used to be a great place. Last night the only things that were semi-OK were the Guacamole and shrimp tempura tacos. The flautas and empanadas were tasteless. Lastly, beware! The server put the 20% tip without saying something and it was on a handheld computer gadget so it was hard to spot. Our server added the 20% tip, took my 22% cash tip, and didn't say anything. The manager corrected it but if we hadn't noticed it that would not have happened! Will not go there again. A shame.
