I can think of no scenario where Roey's happy hour would be a bad idea. If you love pizza and Aperol Spritz, this place is hands down one of the best happy hours in all of New York City. Every Monday-Friday from 4-6 pm, Roey's serves up $4 beers, $5 Rosemary Spritz, $6 wines and $7 personal pizzas. The pizza is shockingly good, the rosemary spritz are strong and tasty and the service is top notch. I've sat at the bar in the back both times I've come for happy hour which I think is key. You have faster access to service and can order more pizza and happy hour drinks in the time frame you have that way to really take advantage of this deal. In addition to it being one of the best happy hour's value wise, the restaurant itself is also beautiful and well decorated. Dive bar prices, upscale ambiance. What's not to love? Pro tip would be to get here as early as you possibly can, this place definitely gets packed for happy hour especially in the summer time, since they have ample outdoor seating.

Went to Roey's for dinner a few weeks ago and had an incredible meal, I'll absolutely be back! Roey's has indoor and outdoor seating, but we opted to sit inside since it was raining on the Thursday evening we dined there. It's an intimate space and the tables are fairly close together. After we placed our order, it came out fairly quickly, which was great. However, the only downside was that it felt like the waitress was rushing us. Still, the food was amazing and we loved everything we ordered. - Garlic Knots: The garlic knots are a must order, I don't think I've ever had better garlic knots. Perfectly doughy with so much flavor! - Cacio e Pepe pizza: Yum! We loved this, perfect balance of cheese and pepper without being too rich. Plus, the pizza was pretty large, so we had leftovers. - Kale and Pecorino Salad: So simple but I loved this and would order it again. - Mozzarella and Burrata: Simple appetizer, just focaccia bread with fresh mozzarella and burrata cheese. You can't go wrong! - Desserts: The tiramisu was solid, nothing out of the ordinary. But if I came back I'd absolutely get the olive oil cake again. The blueberry compote on top was so sweet and delicious.

As a fan of Rosemarys, Roeys sister restaurant, I knew I had to try this spot. It blew me away. I'd describe it as a casual Italian spot. Great cocktails and food. Highly recommend the meatballs and garlic knots - the sauce was incredible. For pizza, I loved the Cacio e Pepe pie. You have to get the olive oil cake to end the meal, delicious!

Brunch is not it! Came to Roey's for brunch this past Saturday and was very disappointed. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly: Pros: We were sat outside immediately which was lovely because the weather was on point and I love Roey's outdoor seating. The service was really good and the wait staff stayed on top of our table. Cons: The delivery of our food and beverages took forever! We were sitting at our table for over 45-minutes before anything arrived. The food is lackluster overall and here are the details: Starter: - Burrata Pizza (the pizza is actually really good! In fact I personally believe this is all that Roey's should serve) Main Dishes: - Cacio E Pepe Egg Sandwich (no flavor and no sauce, very dry... not sure why it's called "Cacio E Pepe" as it truly is not) - Mushroom Frittata (so very boring and nothing special, does not even look like a Frittata) - Avocado Toast (literally was just crusty stale bread with Avocado and some greens, no seasoning or taste) The wine/Prosecco is always great at Roey's if I were ever to come back, which is honestly a hard no for me; I would just have a glass of wine and the pizza. I simply do not recommend Roey's for Brunch. The vibe is great, but the food needs some major work! The overall reason for the two stars: - service is good - ambiance is wonderful (good people watching spot) Outside of the above there is nothing left to say.

Quintessentially nyc. Very intimate ambiance even when it's packed (I prefer sitting in the back room). Great happy hour, I love doing the pizza + olives. The Aperol spritz is also cute. Service is good + bartenders gave me great recs on wine.

We came for the ambiance and the vibes are stayed for the delicious food! I came here for brunch with a friend and we had a veggie friendly meal starting with the carrots and gremolata (which is a must order) and the kale and pecorino salad (it's huge BTW). We ended our meal with the burrata tomato pie - it was so fresh and tasty, could have used a smidge of salt but was overall delish.

4-5-6 Happy Hour and it was so good! The food and drinks are really good and a proper happy hour price! The meatballs and pizza were solid good, but I believe they have the best garlic knots in the city! Their Rosemary Spritz was a really good and nice looking beverage, and is a proper size. I enjoyed their beer and wines on tap. I enjoy their menu stays true to the Italian theme and provide Italian beer and wines on their menu. The ambiance here is buzzing with large groups since it is a great happy hour and we are really close to NYU.The decor has an Italian summer vibe with lots of brightness from the windows, white painted brick walls, rustic wood tables and chairs, hanging green plants and an open flame brick pizza oven viewable from the dining room. My friends and I got there a few minutes before they opened and started happy hour on a Friday afternoon. There were already people waiting outside and we didn't have a reservation, but we were seated within 5 minutes. They do have a separate standing room bar on the other side of the kitchen. Everyone there seemed very busy and I wish they provided a less transactional customer service.

Pizza is really nice, service is friendly and generally nice atmosphere (although when I was there, a couple of groups made it very loud). Overall a good experience, I will be back.

We got a table 30 minutes before the dinner menu started, so they offered us only a reduced menu with cold starters. Everything tasted very good. We had the brussel sprouts, the carrots, a cheese & charcuterie board, an arugula salad and the focaccia.Focaccia was ok. I wouldn’t order it, almost every dish comes with toasted bread and you will be just fine. I hope to come back and taste the rest of the menu

Food 7/10The brussel sprouts were so deliciously flavored and crisp, definitely recommend getting these to also get your fill of veggies. The pizza itself was a bit dry and the cheese didn’t feel like the most quality of quality. We also got an antipasti misto plate, and that had a good selection. A great easy spot that doesn’t require a reservation on Sunday evening in the WV if you are struggling to find a place, but I wouldn’t say it’s a place that I would frequent regularly. Tiramisu was pretty good but have had better.Atmosphere 8/10Cool rustic interior, plenty of tables and very spacious.Service 7/10Felt bad for the one guy who was waiting all the tables :(
