Came on a very cold rainy day. The salmon was amazing - springy and happy, definitely 5 stars. The whole combo was ok. The bagel was not as fresh and didn't have that classic chew. Onion was very thickly cut. They also charged me double for tomato, probably by accident but I didn't realize till much later. Overall I would just buy the salmon and then get a bagel separately .

I bought a quarter pounds of the wild Scottish smoked salmon at Sable’s — and it was almost certainly the greatest salmon I’ve ever had in my life. If one wishes to splurge on salmon with an —admittedly high— price tag ($62 per pound, IIRC), the stock at Sable’s absolutely deserves it. The staff were very kind and attentive and offered a large tasting slice as well.

Well-grounded Breakfast and Salmon shop with a commendable assortment of fish to choose from and staple hot sandwich options. The service is a bit hectic but good enough for a quick stop by order. $12 a sandwich. 4/5 stars as a breakfast spot.

Service was a bit rough and hectic on a Sunday afternoon. Bit of a wait as well. We ordered the turkey and egg on a whole wheat bagel and it was delicious. Fresh ingredients and the bagels were perfectly soft on the inside. Even tried the tuna which was amazing. Sandwiches come with a free water/soda/coffee. Seating also available inside.

Insanely overpriced and not the highest quality. Lobster salad -- $70 for a pint??. There must be more reasonable and better appetizings shop in New York City (like Murray's Sturgeon Shop).

Eating at this institution since 2nd Ave. Not the same Sable's anymore. I have been eating here for years. Something is a little off. Tastes like cheaper ingredients to make the bottom line as also reflected by recent reviews. Sad to see but understandable in the climate.

Excellent smoked salmon, so fresh and the way they cut it is spot on. Get at least half lb of this stuff to go. Will be back to get more and maybe try other stuff. Half sour pickles on the mark. Everything else I got was ok, typical nyc.
