This is a picture perfect spot on the Market Line at Essex Market. A quaint spot to have a seat, a coffee, a drink & or pastry. The choice is yours. The service is attentive, laid back, and welcoming. I'll be back to try more options!

I will cross Manhattan again on tomorrow for getting some rochers and lemon tarts (I did not try the other ones). But will stop for a crepe before my way back home for enjoying the ambiance of the salon and the market.

Rude owner/manager, and overpriced. They should give the space to a cooler

Don’t waste your money here. The matcha croissant here was one of the worst bread I had in my entire life. When I bit into the bread, I see super bright Christmas tree green color which indicates food coloring. As I kept eating more bites I hoped to taste matcha but all I tasted was bread. And when I got to my last bites at the end, there was a little bit of matcha cream. BUT the matcha cream tasted like sour lemon?! I am sorry to myself that I spent $5.72 on a croissant with green food coloring inside. Please don’t make the same mistake as I did.

Stopped by after dinner nearby and it was such a perfect way to end the night. Four of us shared four desserts and we definitely made the correct choices. We had a mix of tart and chocolatey sweet. The desserts were amazing and we can't wait to return. The lemon tart ended up being my favorite, which I did not expect. I thought the Rocher was a bit too intense for me by the others loved that the best

It’s at lower level of Essex market right next to the stairs if you enter from Delancey side . They also have wines. Tried the fruit tart which is very good and not too sweet. Love the chocolate one which has complexity of texture and it is Michelin level. Will try their croissants and lemon bars next time.

The desserts here are absolutely incredible and the staff were very nice and helpful. Make it your business to stop by and enjoy a dessert after having something savory. Try the banana, papaya and passion fruit dessert and the NY Apple.

Chef Simon is amazing, my husband recently turned 50 and he made this beautiful and delicious cake made of madeleine crust, a vanilla beans infused custard, a red berries paste and a lacquer red glaze on top! Our guests were impressed to say the least!!

I'm a big lover of sweets but the desserts here are just too sweet/sugary. Even though some look really nice and would be tasty it was really disappointing and tasted like just sugar, no flavor really. Maybe if the recipes changed I would come again.

Little booth in the bottom floor of Essex market. It was cute and they have a few tables. Nice selection of desserts and everything we tried was really good, our favorite was the Rocher. The girl at the counter was very nice and informative about the different desserts. They also offer a good selection of wine and other drinks, definitely a good place to stop by.
