Love the concept of a restaurant with a specialty food store all in one which not many places do, but it's also not unheard of. The ambiance reminds me of places out in the Hamptons and you know the food is good when real Italians are here every day. Walked by this place dozens of times and finally decided to try it out. The wines are very good and pastas fresh. Seems like a true piece of Italy in NY. The asparagus risotto was excellent, full of great flavors and textures. Service was very hospitable.

An excellent restaurant in my neighborhood. I've been there a few times. The last time with a group of friends and everybody enjoyed it.

Apart from the wonderful food and excellent wine choices, what really sets this restaurant apart for me is the exceptional hospitality, especially from Nicole. She's incredible friendly, remembers our preferences from past visits, and is so accommodating and knowledgeable. Nicole truly enhances the dining experience here.

I went here for a late bite after seeing a show at the Beacon Theater on Friday. The hostess greeted me, then sat me in the middle of the restaurant taking in the very intimate and sexy vibes. I asked my waiter what he would recommend and ordered the fresh ricotta w/Peaches & Pistachios, as well as the Grilled Octopus in Pomodoro sauce w/Eggplant and fried capers. I drank Peligrino and almost finished the entire bottle. Everything was flavorful and each plate had a healthy serving. My only caviot was that the outer layer of the Octopus' skin should be removed in the cooking process. Although it was very tender and well seasoned, the skin made it a bit slimy. I would return to this place because they also have an extensive deli and the service was was A1.

Omg , Salumeria rosi is one of the best restaurants I’ve been in a while , the drinks are amazing the bread so fresh, and the prosciutto is to die for. I had the pleasure of having NICOLE as my waiter and she was amazing. She definitely guided me in a right direction when it came to the drinks, and the food . She amazing, I will definitely be coming back due to her generosity and nice customer service.

I've been dining at Salumeria Rosi for many yearst. O was a regular customer.I've brought clients & family here, had birthday dinners.Every experience was 4 or 5 star. Today I walked in to eat lunch & there was a different host. He sat me down in a annoyed way, almost like he was doing me a favor. I sat for 15 or 20 minutes. They brought no water, no drink. As I started to walk out , I was confronted by another annoyed server and told them I was going to leave in polite way...fyi, I was on my lunch break, I cannot wait 20 minutes for a beverage. Needless to say my interaction was not any better with her.So sad :-( , this restaurant has gone way down in the customer service department.Fyi: I've written a 5 star review in the past. Although in lieu of today's interatction, I will not come back... cannot take a chance to bring clients to have a repeat like today, so embarrassing.Sincerely,JDate of visit was, April 3, 2024

Food was quite delicious. Our pasta was warm and comforting. The service wasn’t great. Our waitress had our table on a pay no mind list while taking care of others. Would come to our table ask a question and literally rush away. Not a great first impression at all.

I walked by this place dozens of times and finally stopped in for dinner. Service: I'll start off with the service. The people serving us the food and drinks were lovely, but our waiter wasn't. He was passive-aggressive, impatient, and borderline rude. Even in Europe, where there isn't a tipping culture, I don't think I dealt with service like that. Food: we shared the ricotta with peaches, carbonara (no meat), and cannoli. The ricotta was to die for! It was very delicious and the walnuts helped bring out the taste. The carbonara was underwhelming - the sauce was just not flavorful at all. I'm obsessed with cannoli and I was disappointed. They looked beautiful but weren't crunchy and the powdered sugar on top was an overkill.
