Traditional New York sandwiches how they used to make them. If you’re into authentic NY style lunches you can’t go wrong here. The food is decent but the experience is something els.

Food looks expensive, e.g., $25 for a Reuben sandwich but portions are HUGE and enough for 2. Delicious ?

Stopped in to pick up lunch on a Thursday and was not disappointed. The sandwiches are expensive but big enough for two to share, and the pastrami was warm, tender, and juicy. There’s also a full seating area inside if you want to dine in. The place has an old-school deli/diner vibe. We got 10% off our bill by paying cash! I’ll be coming back to try their black & white cookies.

Thank you so much for having vegan options at this classic nyc deli. We ordered the Unreal turkey and corned beef sandwiches. It was more expensive than I expected, but it looked like there were two whole packages of Unreal meat in each sandwich. And I was so full after I didn’t have to eat the rest of the day. Very kind, generous people.

The cheeseburger was excessively char-broiled and the fries were soggy and burned even though I ordered my burger medium-well. Their prices are very high especially considering the low quality of the food.

So I don't even like pastrami, but this sandwich was amazing. Recommend the pastrami and corned beef and to split it because I can't see how one person can eat the entire thing. Get a side of fries and call it a day!!

Highly recommend the brisket and I would love to eat that meal all over again..However the service was, if anything.. too quick..? The diner wasn’t busy but our waitress was acting like it was rush hour and our seats were needed. There were plenty of empty tables around us and no queue but she came over to us for our order 3 times in the space of a couple of minutes. We (the annoying tourists) were still navigating the massive menu and trying to figure out what things were and what we wanted. So, be prepared (fellow tourists/new visitors) that you will need to choose your food *very* quickly. Your waitress will expect you to be ready almost instantly. All that said, the food here really is special. The portions “for one” are perfect to share between two people too so it ends up being good value as well as good quality. And I wouldn’t let the hurried service put you off going here but I would just suggest that you look at the menu online in advance to avoid your waitresses’ annoyance. That should help smooth the only blip on an otherwise delicious meal.

I had read wonderful things about this deli so we decided to try it instead of our usual. This was the first time I ever had to return an egg salad sandwich but the egg tasted terrible. My son’s chicken parm sandwich was mediocre and he left half of it—not like him. The roast beef sandwich was not tasty and left uneaten by my mom. The famous fries were okay, not worth ordering. We really enjoyed the keugel and ordered a second batch to go. There was a long line to get into this deli so obviously others don’t share our family’s opinion.
