I have been a fan of Souvlaki GR for many years . Prices are reasonable and food is excellent. Our favs over the years have been lamb chops, lemon potatoes , meatballs , Greek salad , and of course pita wraps. Today, after our meal, on the way out, I asked them to get me baklava as take out . I got home and I am stunned to see how small the portion is for $12 bucks . I know inflation is hurting everyone but I think this is such a shame . Very disappointed . Nyc restaurants are increasingly becoming obnoxious . Please be better .

I love this place. Great service, delicious food. stay for the lukamadas! The ambiance makes you feel like you are in a cafe in Athens.

Food very good, tasty, fresh with good ingredients. Fair prices and portions. I would have given it five stars but it is insanely loud.

Went there the other night with a few friends. Service and food was 10/10. Everything came out fast. My friends had the octopus which they loved. I had the lamb chops and a few skewers, also feta Greek fries. Definitely recommend for a traditional Greek food.

Ridiculously delicious food w/ huge portions! Go as soon as you can!!! My friends couldn’t finish and I ended up taking my food home.Only caveats were the place felt crammed. It wasn’t crowded necessarily but they can use resetting furniture & it was hot the day we went! A.C wasn’t working or something & fan wasn’t sufficient. But that stuff paled in comparison to how amazing the food was! Great service too ?!Mezetes: egg plant, hummus, maybe we got the spicy feta… I loved the fact that we had more than enough pita bread!Greek fries: predictably yummyWe all decided to be basic & got a bunch of meat skewers that were delish & fillingGot one chickpea salad which may have come with more pita and as aforementioned, food could not be finished among 5 (hungry) people!Ps - They’ve diff locations which may have a diff heat/seating situation! Highly recommend regardless

Everything about our experience at Souvlaki GR was perfect. Our waitress was attentive. The restaurant inside is so cute and decorated well. We ordered a trio of spreads- tzatziki, hummus, and spicy feta, chicken kabobs, shrimp kabobs, veggie kabobs, spanakopita, and fries. All of our food was phenomenal! The hummus was some of the best I've had and I love a good char on pita. Veggies were cooked to perfection and everything was seasoned so well. I am making sure to stop in again before I leave the city and I already know I will be daydreaming about Souvlaki GR for months to come.

The food was great. It's hard to get squid right, but this was tender and flavorful. The service was polite, efficient and the decor was authentic.

Food was excellent! Would definitely recommend and the prices are very fair given the location. The only moment of confusion was how no coffee is served in the establishment. So don't go needing caffeine or have a caffeine plan lined up. Would definitely recommend eating here & will eat here again. Greek Salad was top and Spanakopita.

I recognize these guys from their famous food truck, and the restaurant was well worth the visit
