This is one of my favorite restaurants on the Upper West Side. Many great menu items, but my favorite is their chicken pot pie (see pic). I also often order the bruschetta - it's always prepared perfectly. The ambiance of an Irish pub is full of character. The food and the service here is consistently excellent.
I was craving real Irish corned beef, cabbage & boiled potatoes & St. James Gate is the best place to get it! It was tender & delicious. St. James menu is extensive; they even have vegan food. Their drinks Menu is good too with a variety of whiskies & scotches. I had the iced tea. The Irish lemon cheesecake is light, meringue-like & not too sweet. It makes you want more.
