The service during the dinner portion of our meal was very good. We had attentive servers who frequently checked in on us. Our table had two orders of the gaon and the premium set. The food was good but under-seasoned, especially the banchan. In terms of the drinks we enjoyed the cocktail of the day and the rosé. Once we were moved to the back (I assume because they needed our table for the next seating) we could not get the attention of a server. On 2-3 occasions I went up to the front desk to ask for a server, a menu, the check etc. The yuzu cheesecake dessert was okay. I was pleasantly surprised when the manager brought out a birthday dessert for me. The macaron on the birthday dessert platter was one of the best things I ate that evening.

Staff were very flexible with having to change my reservation twice that evening. Great ambiance, delicious food, wait staff are great and accommodating. I would definitely go back again and again

The waiters assigned to our table, Will and Bryan, were friendly, knowledgeable and fun to interact with. We were pleased with quality of the food, overall dining experience, and would recommend Gaonnuri to family and friends.

We were a table of 6 for my husband's birthday. We did the omakase and it was delicious. A tasting of all the cuts of meat, cooked at the table to everyone's taste. Plenty of all the extra side dishes when you asked. This is a beautiful restaurant with gorgeous view of the city. The most high end Korean restaurant of its kind

Great manager. Great service. Great view!!! 6 stars on view. Damn. Good was great. Expensive. Yes. But you get what you pay for. Awesome drinks. Great vibe. Not loud and not unwelcoming. It was a great spot.

We hit it on a quiet night - had great service, delicious food, and a relaxed yet sophisticated experience from an incredible penthouse view. Our gluten free needs were happily accommodated. We imagine this place gets rocking when busy. It's well worth finding the entrance (and we were happily guided).

What a massive disappointment. I wanted to try this place for my birthday this year, and it was such a waste of time and money. My husband and I opted for the Omakase BBQ, and total it was $440 with two beers and two cokes. The service was abysmal from the moment we walked in - we were immediately told that we needed to leave by nine. It was an odd way to greet us at 7:00 pm, but that's fine. What wasn't great is that we were basically ignored the entire 2 hours, we had to track down waiters to get water and our drinks, and by the time my coke arrived, all of the ice in it had melted and it was flat. About 30 minutes later I asked for another, having not mentioned anything about the first. It wasn't delivered until 8:45, when the meal was basically done. Again, it was lukewarm. My husband's beer was warm and flat. At this cost, we shouldn't have to chase down waiters for water refills and things like cutlery. It was disorganized and a waste of money. The worst part - we ended up getting Shake Shake afterwards because there was so little food. Now prior to our reservation, I specified with the restaurant and through Opentable that I have a shellfish allergy, and when we first arrived I reiterated that to the hostess, who claimed there was no record of that, for which I have receipts. It isn't a big deal, I just reiterated it to the hostess and the server (s). Yet my birthday night was spent hunched over the toilet in agony in the familiar pain that comes from ingesting shellfish. Allergies are not taken seriously here, so be forewarned warned. I've never left a bad review for a place before, but I just can't get get over that it was $440 plus tip for a night spent in agony, a tiny amount of food (which was great but not worth that much) and cancelled plans with friends to go out for my birthday as they ignored my multiple notifications about my allergies. Avoid at all costs.

Top quality meat but everything cooked over the grill was completely burnt. They overdid it on 4 orders of spicy pork and rendered it completely inedible. Similar experience with the galbi. Kimchi and other banchan bland and lacking in variety. I could be biased being Korean, however. Nice view but doesn't compensate for poorly prepared food.

Food was excellent and we really enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did the tasting menu but the only downside was we did feel rushed. Courses were brought to the table before we had finished the previous course - this happened a couple of times. Really felt that we were being rushed out the door, which when you're paying $450+ for a meal including wine seems a bit poor, especially when you're still expected to pay the 20% tip! We were in and out within 2 hours. I could understand rushing if the table was booked straight after, but this was not the case and usually with a tasting menu you have a bit more time.

It's a very nice place with great vibes and views. You really pay for the on-table cooking. The bbq is so so. The meat was full of gristle and rubbery. I've had Wagu many times and this was not a good version. The sides are many but small. Glass noodles are terrific. Martini was tiny at $22. Service is pleasant.

This place was great. The food, the service, the atmosphere was the perfect place for our party of 12 to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it to others.

It has outstanding views and is nicely designed. The service was very good and the meat Barbeque fat our table was tasty with nice side dishes. My friend loved her vegan dinner! The crowd looked mostly 25-35 and very international? I'm sure some proposing was going on!

One of my favorite restaurants of all time. I used to live down the street and had not been back since moving 3 year ago. The view is spectacular and a real history lesson of the NYC skyline. The staff couldn't not be nicer and our server was very knowledgable about the food. The y also surprised me a birthday cake which was so sweet. This place is NOT to be missed.
