The worst attention I could have had, I just wanted to listen to good rock, drink some Tekila and the guy just because he heard my foreign accent denied me everything!

We went to a fancy meal and my wife surprised me with this treasure after. If you like dive bars, if you like glam rock, and if you like places with no marketing department, then THIS is your place. David and Gayla were the regulars we hung out with. If they aren't there, just sit on the far right, and look up. Their names are on the ceiling. They were awesome. I bartended for 14 years and tried to make everyone's day better through my actions. You MEET Pete for 10 seconds, and he doesn't have to talk. Your day is already better. He knew about the Britney Fox breakup and played the band, he knew about how Whitesnake dissed John Sykes, and now will go listen to Blue Murder albums. He played Warrant. He played Kix. And he played Extreme pre-Van Halen and then had a conversation about all Van Halen singers. And there are specials, some with Bud, and one shot and beer for us IPA drinkers. Magical experience. And pretty sure Ed Norton was there. Pic below. Good luck finding the entrance, but it is worth it once you do. Definitely recommend, and see you there (next time I am out East).

Hidden gem in midtown East . Don’t come in here expecting glamours 18$ cocktails. That’s not the vibe we’re talking cheap 4$ -6$ beers and we’ll drinks. In Manhattan what more could you ask for because bars like this in nyc are a dying breed

Cheap dive bar, but incredibly loud in an unbearable way.

What a great find when we visited NYC! We are already planning our next trip to the city just to come back.

It's a breath of fresh air to find an actual dive like this in midtown. Although, it's not literally a breath of fresh air, because it is still a basement dive. However, affordable drinks, punk rock music and sensibilities, dim lighting, floor to ceiling graffiti, and friendly bartenders all make for a good time. The crowd is a solid mix of people blowing off steam after work, couples looking for something intimate, some young punks, and some over the hill guys happy to be reuniting over too many drinks (that was us)...all types of people who also seem relieved to find a place to get shots and beers in Midtown Manhattan. I liked that a girl dropped all her drinks, and no one even blinked. It's a good bar.

Great dive bar. Came during a Saturday afternoon and it was mostly a late brunch crowd. Wish the vibes were as lively as the decor.Cheap drinks though!

Great vibe & dive, Leftist friendly in the heart of the capitalist hellhole. Love this place.

Cool gritty, edgy punk bar. Tons of graffiti everywhere. Drinks are standard for a dive bar. I like the feel of it. Bartenders are nice. Drinks are fairly priced.

We went to both the 53rd st/3 av location and also the 39th one too. It reminds me of Kolkatta and specially the Unda Chicken roll was tasty and had a lot of flavors. The Shammi Kabob roll is OK since there were very limited meat and more of the dal . Overall it was a good experience. Also the Masala Chai was also refreshing

Crusty punk bar that's open basically all night. Cool graffiti, good music (if you're into punk), and just a good vibe (if you're into super divey punk bars). Would visit again.
