For the price and the overall dining experience, sugarfish is really hard to beat. The food and service have also been consistently good. Definitely my must visit spot if I’m in New York and craving for sushi. For the portion, if you are an average person, Trust Me will fill you but not overstuffed which I think it’s the perfect amount.

The price for the pieces of fish we got was definitely reasonable. If you are looking for amazing sushi, I would recommend paying a bit more as the food was a little bit underwhelming. The rice was overpowering the fish and the hand rolls you can't taste the fish in my opinion. Also the in person experience is a little slow.

Super good and reasonably priced omakase sushi! It was a little salty though (too much ponzu sauce?). No tip policy as well :)

Loved it! We ordered the Don't Think Just Eat and were not disappointed. The nigiri was delicious, we especially loved the fatty tuna and the lobster! Can't wait to come back to try more!

Ok. So I dropped my chopsticks. And the server walked over, with a new pair, before I could even pick them up. This place is MINT.

How do they do it? Great fresh fish, in a lovely warmly lit space, at $43pp. The lack of tipping made me and my gf feel so welcome. Just a lovely experience all round.

Exquisite sushi! Sugarfish delights with melt-in-your-mouth cuts & perfectly seasoned rice. Don't miss out on a great
Perfect sushi! One of the best in the City! Definitely the best "value for money" sushi ever.Unfortunately, no reservations, first come first serve. We were waiting 1,5 hours for a table, but it's worth it. Enjoy!Update:Still the best sushi in NYC. The best time to come from 1pm to 4pm, no line, no waiting time.

Was pretty busy when I went, loud as a result. Heads up - they do not take reservations so the wait may be too long if you were looking to dine close to arrival time. Food was enjoyable, but nothing overly notable.
