First time going to sushi gama and all I can say is perfect! Our server xin was awesome and energetic! Made our dinner experience delightful! Would definitely recommend the sashimi for you guys!

There is sushi all over nyc and this is a solid choice if you come. It seems like all the restaurants have the same lunch special. 2 or 3 rolls with a soup/salad and drink. We also tried the crispy rice appetizer that wasn’t on the menu but we asked for it. It wasn’t the best crispy rice I have had but decent. Very nice people and sushi was fresh. Good neighborhood spot when craving sushi.

We really wanted to like this restaurant because our server Xin took good care of us. He did not do anything wrong. However, the other waiter did not serve us at all. He stared at us to pay tips and pressured us to tip him more, but he didn’t make any effort. How dare he!Overall, it was just a deeply unpleasant experience. It's 2024 in the center of New York City; please educate and train your staff about customer service because this was unacceptable. I don’t like this feeling; it’s very disrespectful.While this is just an isolated incident and one of over two hundred reviews, I have a feeling that this uniquely poor service is indicative of a deeper management, staffing, or organizational culture issue with this restaurant.Even though we are regular customers, but that it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. So disappointed.

I didn't know this place was here, it's so cheerful with low warm lighting and pop music. Server Xin from Sushi Gama has set a high standard for restaurants in the East Side area! Our server, Xin, was the best part of our experience. Xin displayed wonderful customer service and is by far the best server we've ever encountered. A big shout-out to Xin! He was a wonderful waiter because he provided amazing service and was very attentive. He kept changing out any dirty plates without us even having to ask.

?Here is a HEAVEN?We met a waiter, his name is Xin, he is very friendly to our group and service was prompt. Xin was very knowledgeable about the menu and best pairings. The fish quality is wonderful. Everything we had was perfect; the sashimi, nigiri, appetizers and of course the ?? . The drinks selection they have also pairs very well with their entree offerings. Loved the atmosphere and intimacy of the place. And the price is very reasonable, not too expensive. I look forward to coming back soon.
