This is my favorite Omakase and the service is wonderful. I went for my birthday and I can't wait to go back!

Expensive for the quality given. Fish was decent, not bad. Some pieces that were torched tasted too much like the gas canister (torch taste). Rice was good. Nori in handroll was not super crispy (just OK). Scallop was too cold and large. Anago was just average. For $200, I was expecting a higher quality level, a bit more food than ONLY 9 nigiri, a handroll, and a few appetizers. There were some other things I disliked: flavorless abalone in the chawanmushi (my dining companion didn't even know it was there), too much mayonnaise on the hotaru ika, and stringy chutoro. Atmosphere is simple, basic, quiet. The killer was that even though we were the only two people in the restaurant from 8pm onwards, the owner/chef told us that they were closing and we had to leave at 9:15pm. You would think that spending $500 on dinner and being your only customers would warrant being able to stay until at least 10pm (official closing time on website). Guess not.Won't be returning.

One of the best omakase experiences in NYC! I've been to all the Michelin-starred sushi experiences here. This is on par!

Fish quality is exceptional (all from Japan, many from Hokkaido, seasonal). Perhaps the best sushi I’ve had in nyc (vs numerous omakase meals)

Amazing omakase experience with quite a few pieces I never had before. All of the sushi was perfectly fresh and a pleasure to taste. The appetizers are large portions and made the dining experience a unique one. Prices are normal for a high end omakase. Even dessert was well executed.

Too expensive! The food was good and authentic but I got another dinner after 2 hours.
