I'm an Indian citizen. Born and bred. Most overrated and overpriced Indian food places ever. Ordered chili noodles worth $15, portion size could barely feed one person. Service we as lacking too. Had to be reminded multiple times what my order was. Will never come back.

Wow, this was one of the best meals I've ever had. Every dish was perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. The flavors were subtle and delicate and each bite was exquisite, you could tell the chefs cared deeply about their food. I am blown away.

The tea was horrible. Very watery, very sweet. Samosas were very nice, chutney was the best! Parathas were store bought/frozen and reheated up horribly. If you have eaten authentic Indian food then this restaurant is not for you. If you are new to Indian cuisine you might like this restaurant as even average Indian food is still great because Indian flavors are obviously great. However, if you are someone like me who has eaten Indian cuisine their entire life - this restaurant's food is very substandard. The server was awesome, the ambience of the place was amazing.

You can tell it’s going to be fantastic as soon as you walk in! The decor is elegant, cool and tasteful. It’s a comfortable restaurant. The staff is cool, knowledgable and not needy, yay. Now for the food - just outstanding! Love the portion sizes so we can actually share and then eat more. The flavor profile and spic level is authentic and true. Be sure to have dessert. Will be back!

Wonderful Indian food served by very friendly staff. Just the right size portions and spiciness. Be sure to try the Butter Chicken and shrimp on chickpea pancake.

I treated myself to a solo happy hour after finishing a work assignment for now, lol. This spot is walking distance from the job and discovered that they have happy hour from 5pm to 7pm. They made a few changes to their happy hour menu, and it's for the better. I sat in the bar, and the bartender gave great recommendations on what to order. I started off with the Passionfruit Spritz, which tasted refreshing and paired really well with Seema's Sabudana Vada (3 crispy tapioca cakes with roasted peanuts, green chiles, cilantro, tamarind and mint yogurt chutney) especially with one bite and one sip. Then the curry fried chicken came out, and it was very crispy. I enjoyed the crispy curry leaves that garnished this dish. Once again, one bite of the chicken topped with black olive and jaggery chutney paired with the passionfruit spritz. I finished the passionfruit spritz, but I still had fried chicken, so I got the Roohafza Spritz just right before happy hour ended. This spritz was definitely stronger, but it went well with the fried chicken. This is a section in the restaurant where you can purchase mithi sweets to go. These are so good. They have a variety and accommodate people with nut allergies and gluten allergies. The ambiance was mostly Indian customers, and it is LGBTQ represented. I'll definitely be back to indulge in the remaining happy hour food section.

TAGMO is a quaint little place. The food is simply amazing. We had Seema's Sabudana Vada, and Dadi's Sindhi Saag with paneer (accompanied with Methi and Ajwain parathas). The flavors were just perfect. Nothing overdone in terms of spices. It's exactly what your grandmother would make. Food that you eat, and walk away feeling like a sated child. The drinks didn't really hit the spot (I had the Rose Spritz). The service was good, but could have been a little better. Highly recommend!

First time at Tagmo. Really enjoyed the food overall. Some traditional maharastran options (sabudana vada) were delicious. Pomegranate eggplant was incredible. Delhi Butter Chicken was mediocre. Masala Chai was lukewarm. Unforutnately, service was far less than stellar. The team seemed very understaffed for a saturday night. Had to ask for water, was never asked about additional cocktail options, menu was nearly grabbed out of my hands at one point. Could be a fantastic spot given food potential...

charming little place in the seaport with a super eclectic, innovative menu. The food was sensational, just the right amount of heat, a melody of flavor, and served family style. The service could not have been nicer or more friendly or helpful. We will definitely be back!

Tagmo was a perfectly fine Indian restaurant in the Seaport area, but what really stood out to me were their Indian sweets, which are called Mithai. My family is from Myanmar (which borders India), and we grew up Indian sweets much like these. This confection has a fudge-like consistency that is a bit milky from the evaporated milk, and come in flavors like caramel, cardamom, and rose coconut. Unlike many that I've tried elsewhere, theirs were not too sweet and were evidently made with high quality ingredients. They even accommodated a nut allergy at our table and we tried a delicious flight of 6 pieces that had us craving more. The entree portions were somewhat small relative to the price and were not so accurately labeled "large plates." Still, the flavors in the saag paneer and murgh khatta pyaz were punchy and fragrant and paired excellently with their basmati rice and garlic naan. The most unique dish we tried was the khandvi-- a "noodle" dish made with chickepea flour and yogurt, rolled up with coconut and cilantro. I loved taking bites of this refreshing appetizer in between bites of the heartier curry dishes. It was somewhat busy on a Friday night but our group of 4 was easily accommodated without a reservation, which is likely the case at most places in the area, save for Manhatta or Crown Shy. It's an excellent option for lunch or dinner in the area, but don't leave without a box of their desserts.

Excellent service, great food, cute decor! Why is Indian food so expensive? To afford the cost of the owners' weddings lol. Sigh.Anyhow, our waiter was phenomenal with handling our orders. I ordered the spiced chick peas (curried channa) so very tasty. Yes they are spicy but bearable. Go, enjoy!!
