We had a reservation for 8:45pm. After waiting for 30 minutes and asking two times if our table was ready, they repeatedly told us we would be next in line only to then seat another group. We then left after another 10 minutes of waiting. The staff never apologised. For a restaurant claiming to be high end the service is awful.Better to spend your money elsewhere.

My favorite place, love to share plates with my friends here and have an amazing experience with the staff. From Connie (receptionist) to Lassaro the server we always have a great time ! So many wonderful experiences I finally had to leave my thoughts on this place. The food is extraordinary- literally 10 plates of food & 5 desserts!!! Everything we have tried is 10/10 can not stress enough how much I love the different flavors and choices for my sister who doesn’t eat pork - I don’t eat sea food - but the options are unlimited. We usually are seated on the stairs area (not sure what it’s called) where the lighting is great but I find the place unique because you’ll have a different experience depending on where you sit but the view and vibes are always incredible. THANK YOU !! ?? for always taking care of us. We will always come back for your amazing attention to detail & delicious drink recommendations! Must try the passion fruit cocktail and the huge fortune cookie. The papers inside are so funny.Vegetarian options: Rolls can be customized and veggie dumplings are delicious. Cauliflower was 10/10 and the spicy eggplantDietary restrictions: They always ask for peanut allergies and if everyone at the table is ok with certain things. So you just mention your preferenceParking: Not directly because of Chelsea piers but I found parking 2 blocks away (I didn’t want to waste taste) but I always find parking no more than 3 blocks away. Signs are free parking After 6pm / 7pm

Highly recommend! This place was great! The music was on point, and even though it was lively, we were still able to have a conversation without having to shout.

As a returning customer, this time around was not the best experience. I was there on 4/12024, the service was mediocre at best. The server seemed to be bothered, for what reason? I don't know. My cousins and I (party of three) were polite to him. Towards the end of my meal I stood up and to go the bathroom, I was not even up for two second when the bus boy took my chair and placed in another table. Had I decided to sit back down for whatever reason I would hit the ground hard. I spoke to what seemed to be a manager and said he would speak to them, I know that was not the case for we stood there for a while longer and nothing was done. Overall, TAO you need be better when it come to management . Good service and professionalism come hand in hand.

Very unique Asian fusion restaurant. Very large multi tiered, dimly lit space. Mix of modern and Asian decor. With lanterns and a 2 story Buddha statue in a koi pond all inside. Great lichee martinis. Deliceous salmon.

Ate here for the first time. Takes awhile for your eyes to adjust to the extremely low lighting. Superior food and service. The Mongolian beef was so tender you didn’t need a knife. BBQ duck fried rice was a great side.

Everything was amazing! A massive thank to Michael who was there to help and answer all my questions! Being a crazy vegetarian, I kept asking him about the ingredients in all the dishes we ordered, both him and the chef were super helpful!

I would honestly would give it 0 start if I was able to. Terrible customer service!!! Everyone that worked there was rude. So much has happened in one night my experience with this place was terrible. I would never come back.

You will honestly be paying for the aesthetics and vibe of this restaurant. Food was very much mid. For example, I ordered the filet mignon (cooked medium) which was sixty bucks and it genuinely reminded me of a salisbury steak tv dinner: disgusting and cheap-tasting. I also ordered the edamame and spring rolls which were good, but I’ve had the same elsewhere for half the cost. Aside from the food quality, the service was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. I was there for a special occasion. This place is fine if you wanna splurge and have a little night out, but if you want good food as well as a bang for your buck go somewhere else.Parking: I found parking but wound up with a ticket. In Jersey, “No Parking” means you can’t park there. Apparently in NY, “No Standing” means you can’t park there ??‍♀️. Since when do cars stand? That being said, you need the luck of the Irish to find parking that doesn’t cost the same as a full tank of gas. Good luck!

Dined in with two good friends of mine here and had an excellent experience! The Asian fusion style of food here is my favorite! You get a taste of all the best foods and you can’t go wrong with any of the food here at Tao! Had a great experience.
