Great bar, fantastic food, friendly service. They have beers on tap you’d find in Ireland that aren’t in most Irish pubs in the city.

Great place for beer and food. The bartenders are always so friendly and welcoming. Anything on their food menu is solid but we go there for the fried chicken sandwich, can't beat it. They have a nice selection of beer but we go for the Kilkenny because this is the only place so far we have found in the city that serves it.

This charming Irish bar has excellent service and surprisingly - excellent food!We arrived to watch an NFL game and began with draft beers, though they have great cocktails and non alcoholic options. For appetizers we started with the potato and leek soup which is served in a very generous portion along with Irish soda bread and Kerry gold butter. The soup is phenomenal, made fresh in house. We then tried their gin & tonic, made with Elderflower tonic and Irish gin. Highly recommend! For entrees we ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad which is 10/10; fresh romaine, perfectly dressed, and thin and juicy well-seasoned chicken breast.I ordered the fish & chips which comes with a generous portion of chips, Cole slaw, tartar sauce, ketchup, and lightly battered and tender white fish that has a great flavor.Lastly we ordered the Shepherd's Pie which comes with a delicious salad and is an Irish hug in a bowl - warm mashed potatoes, flavorful ground beef, and fresh vegetables. For dessert we each tried the lava cake served with vanilla ice cream which was the perfect way to end the meal. After the game we toured their private space upstairs that is available for parties. It was gorgeous! Super clean, inviting, fully stocked, and a great second level view of 2nd Ave.

The Blasket is my favorite local irish bar in the neighborhood. The food and service is excellent. The staff always makes you feel like a member of the family - a great night of fun and entertainment - always.

Liam's Blasket is like fulfilling sex; It is an experience that if a person is fortunate enough to have, it will be one looks forward to experiencing, and savoring the pleasure again. I love their meals and mixologist grade cocktails. The meals I've had are exceptionally memorable, and in my opinion the best in the area, at a very affordable price. The hamburger and French fries are so full of flavors and textures that I have the hamburger with just the bottom half of the bun, and a little salt on top. Nothing to interfere with the flavors and textures of an expertly crispy and tender premium grade ground beef hamburger. The fries are crispy, tender, with rarely found delicious fresh potato flavor. No Ketchup. Would interfere with the delicate flavor real French fries that became so well loved for. I've become a committed devotee of Blasket. The food is incredibly rewarding. Bartenders are of the same caliber, quickly become good friends, playful, and wrong in the most enjoyable way. I wish I had a Blasket where I live!

I asked to close out and there was no sign of my check half an hour after my request. I went up to the bartenders and it didn't seem like they intended to close my tan at all.
