Lovely ambience, delicious food-had the chicken roast and the best service with Evan and Jose tying a ribbon around perfecting the whole experience. Will recommend.

The service and atmosphere were terrific and I was excited to eat at The Consulate. Perhaps my choice wasn't the best - the lobster Benedict proved soggy with poached eggs on the brioche bread and the side salad was boring.

A lovely dine-in bar-restaurant in UWS. I have been there during the happy hours (3:30 to 6 PM) and I would recommend the same. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, best for a group or an intimate date. I would highly recommend the Consulate's Old Fashioned which has Mescal. The French 85 is also good.

Spectacular gastronomic experience! My husband loved the French beer, very cold and served perfectly by Constantine. The onion soup, burrata salad and octopus were delicious. The bone in rib eye is phenomenal. We delighted in the crème brûlée and as if that were not enough, the house gave us a complimentary tiramisu, we left there with a very full stomach and a very happy heart. Tony and his team in general (Constantine, José, Gabriel and others) are warm, attentive, very helpful; A very clean and pleasant place with respectful and pleasant treatment.THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! ?

This place is very good and I’m a regular here. I recently had their brunch on the weekend and I asked for the croque Madame to be vegetarian, which they were able to do.I really appreciated it and it was very good! I’ll be back again!

I've eaten at The Consulate many times before. One of my favorite lunch dishes was the Boursin omelette. Unfortunately, they no longer offer this or any omelette at lunch. That was a big disappointment for me. Also, the coffee there was incredible. They must have changed either chef or ownership because the coffee this time was almost like Turkish coffee. Again, a big disappointment for me. Having said that, the food was good and the service was excellent.
