I am really quite confused by the favorable reviews. The food was so gross. The server was lovely and attentive but my goodness the food was absolute trash. Do NOT order the espresso martini mocktail and do NOT order the fried chicken sandwich. It’s three days later and I’m still mad I spent money on this food. They were offering cinco de mayo and derby specials which was clearly days of leftover old food. Both events were over the weekend. I would not eat here. Just keep walking. You can do it!

After reading the great reviews, I made a reservation here before our Broadway show. I was underwhelmed to say the very least. The food and cocktails were both mediocre and the service was really pretty awful. The waitress stopped by maybe twice the whole time. The only positive was the bus boy. He worked SO hard all night.

Every single dish we ordered was delicious.French Onion Soup - Good, but I would recommend sharing this.Fried Cauliflower - Flavorful and light.Wings (House Buffalo) - I can't stop thinking about these.Sirloin Sliders - So juicy and tender.Fish & Chips - Lightly battered and crispy.Churros - I thought chocolate filling and chocolate dipping sauce would be too overwhelming, but they were subtle and not too sweet.I would love to return and try more of their dishes!

The food was amazing. We had a quiet booth per our request, which was great. It was a good thing we weren't in s hurry as the service was very slow (we were shared between a couple of different wait staff). This may have contributed.

This spot was perfect for our casual pre-theater dinner. We were able to order unique cocktails and had a diverse menu of pub treats to select from. The atmosphere of an upscale tavern hit all of the right notes. The Fried Rice Balls are not to be missed - cripy, cheesy gruyere, and perfect truffle cream sauce. We will be back for that dish alone!

Food was okay (not great) but service was terrible for a half full restaurant. No refills on water were offered (we had to ask when they brought us the bill) and our appetizer never came out. I wouldn't return.

We booked into the Elgin online before we flew to NY. We were not disappointed with our choice at all. From the moment we walked in until we left, we had great service from everyone. I had the Elgin burger and was, by far, the best burger that I'd eaten on our trip. My husband had the New York Strip and was very pleased with his choice. We started with a couple of cocktails (mine was the tequila based one) and both were delicious. If you find yourself at a loose end and want a great meal, you need look no further.

Our server was excellent. The smoked cocktail was amazing, and the food... Poke nachos, pita bread and carrots with a dip (Mezze), steak sliders, all fantastic. Very noisy very crowded. Kind of a bar with a restaurant in the back. Would go back with the group :-)

Stopped in for a pre theater meal. Food and service were excellent. It was a little louder than expected at first, but quieted down after a while. Guess it's an after work place to meet as well!
