Probably the worst bar in NYC. Rude staff, uncomfortable atmosphere, and dirty glasses. Three of us went and two of the three glasses were covered in fingerprints and had what looked like chapstick or lip gloss on the rims. Waiter was rude when we asked for replacements and the new drinks took WAY too long to be brought on what was a moderately busy night. SO many better bars to go to in this city.

Dan the bartender is exceptional. His mixology skills are top-notch, but beyond his talent, his friendly demeanor and attentiveness enhance the overall experience. Highly recommended HH for anyone seeking a fantastic blend of skill and

As you may have read, despite the false advertising of its name, The Happiest Hour manages to live up to its reputation of hosting sceney- weekend night ragers, when the West Village hordes arrive to flirt and dance around their long bar. On a surprisingly laid back Friday night, my party found room to breathe while we sipped on our well-made cocktails. With no corporate happy hour in sight on this Friday night, we were able to secure prime real estate by their banquettes and by the bar area. There was a great DJ when I went, and the place somehow avoided reaching claustrophobic levels that this place is usually known for. Of course the place skewed more bro-y than my usual haunts, but I found it surprisingly unagressive. So for once, no false advertising at the Happiest Hour.
