10/10, the only Korean Restaurant you need to eat at. Food is so good and the service is even better. Always come here every time I come to New York.

I recently dined at this Korean barbecue gem in Koreatown NYC, and it exceeded all my expectations! The beef and meat selection was incredibly fresh, making every bite a delight. The shrimp shumai dumplings were a pleasant surprise, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. And let's not forget about the kimchi stew, which was comforting and packed with authentic Korean flavors. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance added to the overall experience. Highly recommend this spot for any Korean barbecue enthusiast or anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in the heart of NYC!

Service was terribly bad! I was with my colleagues from work, having lunch and drinks. The gentleman who was serving us started behaving differently when we ordered more drinks and when we asked to split the bill. He kept observing us how much we drink and when we will leave. He was escorting us down the stairs on our way to paying counter. I had a feeling he was judging us because of my colleagues skin color and capacity for eating/drinking. As I am from Europe, this was my first time experiencing something like this that I can clearly categorize under racism.

Very good authentic Korean food at a good price. They offer a lot of free and healthy starters. The waiters are friendly and attentive. They have a decent vegetarian and vegan option.

Zero service and rude attitude.I first visited this restaurant with a friend who used to come here with Korean classmates while at uni. Many years later, he took me here when I moved to NYC. It was very good. However, shockingly, two times in a row, I visited with a friend where we were shuffled to the very back where there are no windows, even though there were plenty of tables at the front. As we decided to go downstairs instead, we waited for further 20 mins or so, and saw people who arrived later being served. We eventually had to leave. When we explained to the guy at the door no one served us at all, he said nothing and rudely gave a bad look without any apology. What a disappointment to see a family business becoming so arrogant and rude to customers.

After missing Korean food after being on vacation, we ordered squid stir fry with noodles and bulgogi in a stone pot. The cuisine is very homestyle. The side dishes were good at 5 or 6 different kinds and refills were offered freely. Customer service was good although I had a native with me so that always makes a difference.

I don't usually eat Korean barbecue. This was my first time. The excellent customer service was unmatched. The food was so amazingly delicious!! And having it prepared at the table was a bonus to watch. My daughter picked the meal choices, I can tell you I had some delicious sides, tasty beef, and some egg, I can't tell you the name of the food in Korean, but everything was super delicious. We had hot green tea, and I also had pear juice that was also delicious ? ? ? ? ?!!Love this place. The ambiance was relaxing, quiet, and an all-around great place to eat.

Had a great time at Kunjip. Food was great and the Korean waitress was very attentive to our needs. She answered all our questions about house specials, spice levels, and size of each dish. I ordered the bibimbop combo 1. Loved the crispy rice-just right and not too burnt, although it needed a bit more salt, but the sweet/spicy hot sauce made up for it. The soup was a little over cooked and mushy but flavor was great. Would come back.

worst manager ever. The food was good and the server was great, but I heard the person who appeared to be the manager get annoyed and ask why they weren't leaving. He didn't look Korean... It was 1 hour and 20 minutes after we came in, and the group finished eating and went to the bathroom. There wasn't a line, and I had two main dishes and a bottle of soju, but I never thought I'd hear something like this. This is something I haven't heard in any other restaurant.

Expensive, small portioned, extremely bland food. I would not recommend coming here. Try any other Korean restaurant in the area before this
