The Mary Lane in the West Village is a well-lit and and welcoming American restaurant with attentive staff and a great brunch menu. We started off with thick, crispy slices of focaccia and chocolate and walnut banana bread with whipped honey butter. For entrees we had the Jonah Crab Benedict and Guajillo-Braised Pork Tostadas. All of the food was fresh tasting and featured seasonal ingredients. The Mary Lane makes for an ideal backdrop for a group brunch

Very solid American restaurant in a very cozy and romantic ambiance. More than the mains, we loved the burrata salad and the crab galette. We also enjoyed the salted caramel gelato for dessert.

Always a beautiful weekend lunch experience. Beautiful airy space. The service is excellent, from the welcoming host to both front and back wait staff. Everyone knows what they're doing, and they do everything well. The food is outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, artfully plated and presented. On a recent Sunday brunch it was super noisy, but it was the sound of lively animated conversation from a lot of people having a good time. You can't beat that...?

Everything was fine. The food was well prepared and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. The room is comfortable enough - though the tables are rather close together. It's loud in the dining room, but we were able to have a conversation. There is really nothing wrong with the Mary Lane. But there is nothing particularly memorable about it either. There are lots of restaurants in the neighborhood that feel very much the same both in atmosphere and menu. It's a good go-to place but nothing special.

Perfectly quaint and lovely west village restaurant. The food and service were excellent. The only reason this place did not get 5 stars is because it was a cold day and every time the front door opened the whole place filled with wind. They had curtains to cover the front door but did not use them. Otherwise I will go back when the weather is warmer. .

Another beautiful dining experience at The Mary Lane! Its casual elegant decor and friendly service set the stage for the delicious cuisine. The risotto with seasonal morel mushrooms and the roast chicken were both outstanding. The wine list is well curated to compliment the menu. I look forward to returning again soon!

My husband and I had a wonderful Easter Brunch at The Mary Lane. We always enjoy our meals there and Sunday was no different. I had my favorite, The Little Gem Chicken Salad and a side of delicious thick bacon. My husband had a special being offered, Lobster Quiche. Both dishes were delicious. The cocktails were great and the wine list has something for everyone's budget. I took advantage of the 2 for one wine that is offered during Sunday Brunch. I want to thank Alex for being the perfect Manager/Host. He made sure everyone was happy and well taken care of which was not an easy task on such a terribly busy day. Our server, Emma was also excellent. She was very attentive and made sure we knew about the additions to the menu. The hostess, Lia was very welcoming and made sure that everyone was seated in a timely manner. She also helped to keep everything running smoothly on that busy day. The entire staff at the Mary Lane is very welcoming and that means a lot - along with the delicious food of course! All said, it was the perfect brunch. We look forward to returning.

Great modern American restaurant for dinner and drinks in west village. We enjoyed all dishes, but have to say the sweet potato lasagna was truly special!

Reservation a must, for this cozy warm sister restaurant of the Little Owl. Service always spot on for a special night out, and the food so tasty but not pretentious. To start we ordered the focaccia and Little Gem salad to share, the focaccia was warm dense and slightly sweet and oh so delicious dipped in the olive oil with chili flakes. The salad had shaved cucumber & radish and grated cheddar, which a creamy dreamy ranch style dressing (I dipped the bread in it to get every last drop!) Our entrees were sirloin steak over vegetables in a rich brown sauce (my husband's dinner), and I had the Chicken Cacciatore ravioli with crispy skin(oh that was heaven)...we each switched a good sized bite each other's way. Then finished our meal by sharing an olive oil cake with/almonds and an apple(?) compote on top (oh and a scoop of mascarpone too). It was so delicious and the service was attentive and very friendly, but never rushed. It was the perfect dinner out for our Anniversary.

Of the two best restaurants we try to enjoy every time we visit NewYork, Mary Lane is the most relaxing with the genuine neighborhood vibe. The food is exquisite, menu always has a surprise and service personable. The constant stream of celebrating families, reuniting friends and lovey-dovey couples fill the room with joy and happiness that you can taste in the food. When we enjoy every minute like this we top our desert & coffee off with a set of their worldly cocktails. Perfect.
