They roped off half the bar area for no reason other than expecting a crowd?? I doubt I'll be coming back.

Genuinely the worst burger I have ever had. Horrific by even bar food standards. Patty exterior was charred to hell which overpowered the whole sandwich. Inside was flavorless. I'm not a picky eater, but the meal I had here stands out as the worst I have ever had.Service was slow and incompetent too despite the place being completely empty. Fries and drink were okay. There's plenty of other bars in the area: avoid this one.

Horrible place to go. The bartender is a primadonna jerk who expects everyone to enjoy his poorly mixed shots. By the way his attitude was the worst; I'm not sure he works in the hospitality industry.

Rustic British pub in the basement of a Midtown building off 5th Ave. Good pub offerings and drinks available. Not a polished dining room so plan for a casual experience.

I have been to the Raines Law Room inside The William on several occasions, and I was excited to try out this more relaxed environment. Our group's reservation placed us in a booth right next to the bar. Although we had some privacy, we had to rely on the bartender to take our orders.Even though the bar was located below the speakeasy, it was just a regular bar with cocktails on the pricey side. I suggest getting the beer and food instead. The salmon burger, regular burger, grilled cheese, and shepherd's pies were all delicious.

Awesome place. Bartender is a very cool guy. Ambiance is great and the Guiness is legit.

Incredible service from a very personable bartender, Will! The ambiance is perfect and the food is great. Truly a great place to grab a cocktail, a beer, or some food.

Fantastic food in a unique, intimate space. Bartender served the whole place alone and he was a rockstar with lots of personality. One of the best, diamond in the rough experiences In NYC hands down - burger and fish and chips were perfection and the ricotta appetizer an unassuming masterpiece (muah!)

Stopped for what I thought would be a quick drink. Ended up having a session and food. Great little downstairs bar. Service was fantastic and friendly. Lots of draught beers. Enjoyed having to many IPA's. Food was hearty and filling. Not as expensive as my sore head in the morning suggested it would be.

We’re we’re looking for a bar showing the Spain vs Scotland football game from Thursday, Austin the bar manager tried his best to find the right channel, but unfortunately we couldn’t find it. Never mind we had a beer and got chatting with Austin. When we mentioned that our son had just turned 18 Austin insisted on giving us some cake and fries. What a lovely surprise. Great atmosphere, great chat and great Austin was a great host. Hopefully we will manage another visit before we leave NYC. X
