One of my fave little cocktail bars. Walk down the stairs from a busy WV block and enter the dark, cozy, bar. Bar seats available, but little tables available as well. Delicioussss drinks - probable one of my favorite I've ever had. Haven't tried the food - they have some snacks available. The service is always great. They are helpful in finding something for you and answering any questions about the drinks. I typically make a reservation (and they usually have them available). I have put my name on the waitlist once and got in shortly after as well.

Great atmosphere and exactly what you’d expect from a top tier cocktail bar in NYC.However, once we finally decided to order the highly recommended “amongst the grottoes” cocktail and a bottle of red wine; we experienced an unfortunate incident with a racist waiter who clearly had no intention of servicing us that particular evening. It’s a great atmosphere but if you’re of an ethnic background just be a little mindful of who’s serving you.

Very unfriendly door keeper, bar might be good, but when the staff does not greet the customers friendly, it is not worth, to wait for an entry.We came there and were told, that we have to wait app one hour to get in, which we were happy to do. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked, whether I can at least use the restroom, which was extremely arrogant denied, so we left this bar and went to a mor service oriented bar in this nice area…
