We organized a party last weekend for my son and his wife-to-be upcoming wedding. We had an open bar for 3 hours. It was absolutely fantastic. The drinks are so well made-from the espresso martini to bloody mary, old fashioned, and marguerittas. We went thru a whole of lot alcohol in those 3 hours and everyone had a great time. We were served delicious food including great thick crusted bread, several kinds of cheese and cold cuts. There were also platters of really tasty oysters. Everything we ate was fresh and well presented. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They went out of their way to help make this a successful event. They were friendly and patient with everyone, making sure that we were all taken care of. A++ guys!

Cool spot for drinks. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. The vibe is great. Only downside is the “surface area” of the bar is not great with the layout, and you sometimes have to wait a while to get a drink. But it’s not terrible. Would recommend!

drinks are creative, unique, and delicious. vibes are upbeat, general place on the smaller side but pretty packed and busy. music--more than a couple notches too loud. terrible place to take people you actually want to talk to, lol! if you just wanna get smashed in fashion and don't gaf you'll enjoy yourself (probably).

Nice cocktails and food, but echoing one of the reviews below--the bouncer was extremely rude and picking fights with people for no reason. My friend said she didn't realize the door didn't close by itself and he said, "you didn't realize the door was open when you were the one who opened it?" and continued to berate her. He should have closed the door himself and gave major attitude. The Wayland should fire him. Other than that, the service was great and vibes were nice.
Went here with a group of friends during their happy hour. We had loads of fun. I ordered oyster and had a few cold beers. All in all a great experience!

Usually great cocktails. Love the one with ginger and gin (that they may have taken off the menu??) BUT this time I got THREE garden variety margaritas (usually love) but this time they tasted sour. Think it’s bad kale. Very terrible like fish. Total EW ! Disappointing :/

Whenever I'm in the East Village I never leave without stopping by The Wayland. The cocktail menu has everything you're looking for. The bartenders are attentive and very consistent. The music is always playing something good! Whether your there for 1 drink or til 3am they never disappoint.

Great ambience and the wait staff is always the sweetest! The charcuterie board and the key lime pie are great and the cocktails are super fun. The only thing that consistently has made my experience un enjoyable is the older guy that works the door. He consistently has major attitude for no reason and got really unnecessarily upset us for not closing the door as if thats not his job/ as if we did it intentionally? It felt like getting yelled at by your mom, it was very strange. Besides him, its a great spot especially for dat night, etc
