Nice atmosphere and a good location near SOHO to grab a quick slice of pizza. Crust is crispy and thin which I like. But everything else is mid. It's kinda dry but it's not bad... just not any "wow" delicious factor. The roll is also overcooked and tastes not as fluffy as I thought.

That was worth the stop. Crispy crust. Not too oily. Flavorful. As pizza should be. Delicious.

Wow. One of the top NY pizza spots. The sauce made this pizza what it is. The light char of the bottom of the pizza was the perfect texture. Had the pepperoni which was amazing. Limited seating area. Very personable workers who take pride in what they do. Will def come back to try the other slices.

Super good. Crust does not flop. Sauce is nice and the toppings are good. Good music :)

Easily one of the best slices in NY. The crust is like an outstanding sourdough bread made flat - crunchy, chewy, and slightly tart. Toppings are delicious and authentic. Super busy but the line moves quickly.

Good service but tourist grade pizza equivalent to the dollar places when I tried the cheese slice. Good for an emergency though

Went here today and the pizza Wasn’t pleasant the sauce was tangy and over seasoned so It messed up the whole pizza which was very disappointing because I came here one time before and it wasn’t like that so whoever made the pizza today messed up the sauce I even told the guy about the tangy taste and told me to take it up with the boss being smart if you’re a real pizza person I wouldn’t recommend don’t believe the hype isn’t real

Upside is a newish pizza purveyor that has four locations around town and is very much in the vanguard of NYC's slice-joint renaissance, which is flourishing to such a degree that it's getting hard to keep track of all the spots serving up impressive versions of our city's most famous and essential comestible. This location in Nolita is, as you'd expect, ridiculously stylish for a pizza parlor, with contemporary wood paneling, mosaic and checkerboard tiles, and an overall aesthetic that possibly drew inspiration from a Scandinavian interior designer. And for such a pretty place in Nolita it is also, as you'd expect, not inexpensive -- most slices are $5, i.e., roughly the same as an entire medium pizza at some chain like Domino's or Little Caesar's, or five times what you'll pay if you can find an increasingly rare dollar slice anywhere in 2024. Aside from the location and decor, the steep price point probably reflects quality ingredients, e.g., parmigiano reggiano and good olive oil, which really do result in slices that are lip-smackingly tasty. Also, the crust is technically impressive; regular slices are foldable without being floppy, and Sicilian squares are unusually puffy and light, reminiscent of the delicate oblong wonders at the dearly departed Corner Slice inside Gotham West Market. So, overall, Upside is among the spendier slices in town, but you do get what you pay for.

One of my favorite in the area. The vodka slice in my opinion is the only way to go, with the ground red pepper. I like that their red pepper isn’t just flaked, but also ground. Covers better. The deep dish is fine, but after all it’s NYC, that’s not the pizza to get. Come by here any time you can, it’s worth the stop.

We stopped by for a quick slice while in the area. We just got a classic pepperoni slice, and it was decent. The crust had too much gluten development, so it was too chewy; it felt like I was getting a jaw workout. It did have a good crisp to it though! The pizza was also overall too salty, which drowned out some of the other flavors, such as the pizza sauce and the pepperoni itself. Overall, decent. If ever in the area and wanting a slice, wouldn't hesitate to stop by!

? A lone masker amidst pizza guys is GREATLY ❤. The margherita pizza is absolutely the best among three spots in the area. Spicy vodka pie is a MUST try. The sauce is complex. The crust is crunchy and chewy?Space has no ventilation but they have draft? & outdoor seating ✨

Charges extra money for a small side of marinara sauce for pizza that’s already overpriced. Ridiculous amount of nickel and diming customers.
