This is a wonderful coffee shop to relax and or study an work at! I got the earl grey lavender latte and it was delicious and rich. The lavender flavor was not overwhelming and was well-balanced with the fresh earl grey tea. The interior of the shop is designed like a backyard and there's even a basement level below the main level where there's a bathroom and several tables you can sit at. There's also some small tables set out front. The overall vibe is cozy and inviting and there's also free wifi. The service from the staff was friendly and attentive and they had my drink made in less than a few minutes after I ordered. I also enjoyed the cute latte art on top. This is a great coffee shop to check out if you are in the Soho area and they make wonderful drinks here and it's a good place to wind down at throughout the day!

Urban Backyard offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. From the moment you step inside you're greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the cozy ambiance of the space. The coffee here was simply outstanding!! The barista was so nice and greeted me with much enthusiasm. I will definitely be coming here more often and telling all my friends about it!! Keep up the great work

Highly recommend! mlMy friends and I stopped here as we were heading to our destination. I got the Floral Latte (rose) iced. it was absolutely delicious. Full of flavor and had so much body to it. Definitely will be going again before leaving the city.

The beauty of cities. There is something nice in every nook and cranny. This location had a really nice cup of coffee. Lucky we were able to get a seat and just relax for a bit I'm the corner. Remember that there are seats downstairs!

Add me on insta for my full reviews!@hopeless_ramen_ticI got the Ube Latte with almond milk & I was honestly expecting it to be better. Obviously, Ube is a bit more mild of a flavor, but this honestly didn’t taste like much at all. My boyfriend’s rose latte was much better though.I would come back to try the pastries & cupcakes!Went on 1/20/2024

The cherry blossom matcha latte is delicious! My sister got the regular matcha latte and we both enjoyed our drinks, though we enjoyed the cherry blossom latte more. Very cute cafe! Will preorder the cupcakes for next time :)

I got the earl gray lavender latte and the yuzu citrus lemon loaf. The earl gray lavender latte was one of their spring specials. The latte I got it with oatmilk. There’s not much seating inside. There’s like 2 small tables inside. The lemon loaf was good pair with the latte.

Popped in Urban Backyard on a very windy Saturday with a friend while shopping in SoHo. It's terribly small inside (2-3 tables in total) but with additional seating downstairs. We didn't bother with either because it was very packed and fully.. full. We caffeinated ourselves with a Cappuccino and a Cold Brew and said we'd hope next time, there would be some seating available! Not much of a selection of pastries from what I could see, but the ones I did peek were pretty quite cute and unique, but very SMOL. Maybe next time I'll try some!

I was torn to order Ube Latte or Earl Grey Lavender Latte but ultimately went with the Ube Latte. Delicious. Not too much flavor that I don't taste coffee. I'm sure the Earl Grey would've been yummy too. Very tiny compared to what I was looking for based on photos posted, I almost missed it. Not much pastry selection when I went.

Such a wonderful first experience! Finally made it to this cute cafe ? Jack was so helpful and kind in helping me decide on my which pastry to get. I was very happy with my coconut almond pound cake and delicious cherry blossom matcha latte! Can’t wait to go back ??I also really enjoyed the small heater ? on this cloudy, dreary nyc rainy day. Made it extra cozy!

Not too bad for the area but very average 7.4 coffee in general. Over roasted, slightly too foamy on the milk work. The cafe is quite nice though, pebbles and garden vibes.

Such a gem! Beautiful decor, great coffee, pastries and if you should want something a bit heavier they all have bagels and sandwiches.

The space is small, but cute. There are only three tables inside, and we luckily were able to get one. The service was kind. Although I saw a photo of a succulent cupcake, they didn't have any that day and we opted for a slice of their yuzu loaf instead. I'm glad we did, because it sold out after and it was the perfect sweet accompaniment to our coffees. The flat white was a tad sweeter than I like, but not by much. And even though they had a steady stream of people coming in, it wasn't overwhelming and we enjoyed our stay there.
