I've been a few times and really love this place. Their take on the espresso martini with peppermint is so delicious, one of my favorite I've ever had. The food is exactly what you want from a neighborhood Italian spot and the vibe inside is buzzy and cozy. Lots of great gluten free options too!

Delicious meal and amazing atmosphere. Some of the best pasta I’ve ever had! We started our night at Keys & Heels for the magic show and then came over here for post-show drinks and dinner. Loved every minute! The Cappelletti di Ricotta e Spinaci was truly amazing.

Our friends live in the neighborhood and took us for dinner. We had a lovely meal, all the food was delicious but came out at odd times. 3 of us ordered pasta which came out pretty quickly. 2 ordered pizza and that came out 15 minutes after the pasta which was weird. So we all finished at different times. But again, all the food was yummy and service was friendly. I'd be happy to try it again!

We came here as a party for four at 6:15 on a Monday. The service was excellent. We were a group of four girls getting together after a long time and had a lot to discuss. Our waiter was great and extremely patient with us when it took us a few tries to decide what we wanted and he gave us great suggestions. When there was some miscommunication on ordering and the wrong dish came out. He immediately took the dish back and brought out the right one. The $4 babytinis were delicious. We ordered the espresso martini, dirty martini and the cherry martini. We loved them all, though personally the cherry martini was not for me We ordered the burrata and shishito peppers for starters and chicken parm, two pizzas (four cheese and truffle) and gnocchi with vodka sauce. Everything was delicious, the burrata was my favorite It was a bit warm and we asked the hostess if we could open the door for some air, which they did instantly. They were even great about refilling our waters. Once our meal was done, we did not feel rushed to finish our drinks and leave. They let us take our time and it was much appreciated. I can't wait to come back again, especially on a Monday for more $4 martinis!

I’ve been going Uva for 15 years, and thought I would try UVA Next Door on my way home on Sunday evening. They were busy and directed me to the bar for dinner. While the bartender made a lovely cocktail, after 30 min I asked if there was an update in my food: the bartender said “oops, I forgot” and offered me shots. Of course the guy dining along to my right and the couple to my left had been well-attended. I guess she thought as a woman alone I wanted to nurse a cocktail on a Sunday evening. Bottom line: if you are a woman dining alone, don’t bother; if you are a guy or part of couple; the food looks amazing. Unfortunately, I’m soured in the Lusardi’s/Uva restaurants for now. Giving the food 3 stars because it looked and smelled food, but I didn’t get a chance to try it fresh as it was cold by the time I got home.

The food is delicious, expertly made, quickly served and just scrumptious.The service is unbelievable, our server Natalie was kind and patient despite us being a big group of people. The ambiance is fantastic, the drinks are delicious. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ve been here a couple times and I will continue to come back! Absolutely amazing place.

Overall rating: 4.4I came here for martini $4 Monday & boy was it good! The burger was good too! But! I can’t give a higher rating bc it’s people on top of people. It’s so crowded.The service was very hard to get & a reservation is def recommended. If you’re a young professional looking for a fun night I recommend. But being 30+ & living in Brooklyn, this wasn’t worth it to me.If I’m in the area, on a Monday, I might swing by. The all day happy hour is totally worth it if you’re strapped for cash. Recommend to the kiddos.
