Cheap and yummy empanadas. I had the chicken and cheese, and the chicken empanadas. Both were really good but I went back for seconds for the chicken and cheese ones. The dough is refreshingly sweet and provides a nice contrast to the savory filling. Everytime I'm in the area I make sure to get some empanadas from this cart

The guava and cheese empanada is delicious. I don't know if it's vegetarian.

Whenever I’m in the lower east side, I always try to make time to grab a few empanadas from this place. The service is great with José and the empanadas are nothing short than amazing. Great spot and I’m forever bringing my friends over to be try for themselves, and they’ve never felt disappointed.

The place just reopened again, they have a lot of options but it's a bit pricey ($2). My favorites that I recommend are the chicken, chicken with cheese and beef.

Solid empanadas, very slightly pricey ($2) for street food. But was good and pretty warm considering I was there just before closing.

I liked that you can get both baked and fried empanadas here, but the interior of my chicken and cheese baked empanada was disappointingly dry. Still, it's a cheap and quick snack.
