My brother and I stopped in for a rather late nite dinner (very near their closing time) , but they where gracious to accept our dinner order and provide superb service during our visit. I will warn you of this - if you have dead taste buds - be aware- they will be alive after you eat your meal. The dip for the bread was a surprise, as typically for most restaurants it is not very defining - but theirs has some kick to it (!) and you'll remember it long after you've finished. The fresh spinach stuffed home-made pasta was perfect , and the chicken Marsala was just as good. The mixed drinks were spot on (NOT watered down) and the deserts were tasty and perfectly presented . I will return again and look forward to trying more new tastes. I would heartily recommend this restaurant and have to disagree with any of the less than enthusiastic reviews . Keep up the good work .

Stopped here traveling with my boyfriend - he used to go to their old location with his family all the time when they traveled nearby. The food, portions and prices were all amazing and the staff was very attentive and sweet! We’re both baffled by the rating… every course was perfect

I used to go to Andiamo 1-2x a year when traveling by route 84 - it was a bit of a tradition for my family. Last year I found out the location was gone and it was beyond upsetting - I checked again before traveling and saw they’ve reopened. Though this new location doesn’t have a pizza oven (yet?), they still manage to make some of the most incredible Italian food I’ve had in America (I was also in Italy <2 months ago.) I honestly can’t fathom why the reviews are low, my only thought is it’s from the competition. Andiamo! Let’s go! You will not regret it

As i walked in to get my family’s take out order Sunday around 7:00. The place was empty and the girl working looked like she couldn’t wait to get out of there. I got my order of meatball n bread along with an eggplant dinner. The meatball were good but the sauce was a brown red color like it was a week old and reheated over n over. It had a tangy taste to it so I threw it away. My son had one bit of the eggplant dinner and spit it out and that also made the trash can. I’ll never ever go back. This place used to be the bomb, not anymore.

We recently vIsited Adiamos, and was soooo disappointed. I will start by saying the server was WONDERFUL !!!( attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable of the specials) but that is the only outstanding comment I can give. The restaurant itself was "tired" looking, & in need of a cleaning. I ordered the filet mignon at a price of $35.00. When the dish arrived, it was charred on the outside & rare on the inside. ( I ordered "pink throughout " ) clearly the end of the filet ( gristle, and not the beautiful circle of beef one expects when ordering this special dish ) I very rarely return a dish to the kitchen, but this was truly uneatable. With extreme politeness I voiced my dissatisfaction. It was brought back & the new plate was delivered 19 minutes later!!! My husband tried to delay eating his meal, but honestly it was getting cold so I insisted he eat. He was totally finished before my plate was delivered. The owner was there, in his work clothes, adjusting the shades on all the windows one table away. not very professional for an owner who is trying to bring " sophistication" up to this area..... Other than a " sorry" nothing was done to salvage this terrible experience. ( a complimentary scoop of ice cream sure would have gone a long way to ease my ruffled feathers. .... And , really, it costs them nothing .....but sure makes the customer feel better) never again.

I have been coming to the pleasure that is Andiamo restaurant for about 6 months now, relocating from my recent location in the City to Newburgh. I really don't have the words to express what a pleasure this restaurant is. The staff is outstanding - it is a family-owned restaurant with a lovely couple at the helm and their son, Vatan, is one of the main servers and worker/manager at the restaurant. They are gracious, professional, welcoming; Vatan is outstanding - one of the most professional, courteous, attentive, respectful and efficient waiters/FOH you could meet; He's en pointe and knows how to handle any concerns, anxiety, special orders or particular food needs you may have. The food, on every occasion I've been there has hit the mark, it fits the bill for what I'm looking for and craving and it is done proficiently and well as if the person who is in the kitchen knows what he's doing and has been doing it for a long time. Yesterday after a bit of trying day with back and forth my LL about some issues with the house, I stopped in later in the evening after some errands just for a light quick repast at the end of the evening. I ordered mussels in a white wine/lemon/butter/garlic sauce. That, and their choice of Riesling they had on hand made for a perfect bill (the Riesling was literally almost the best I've ever tasted - light, crisp, with a delicate, balanced sweetness). The coffee was done to perfection and pleasure to have along the meal. Beyond that this restaurant serves complimentary homemade bread (delicious! - made by mom) and stunning good dipping sauce, a sundried tomato/herbs/spices/olive oil concoction (made by Dad, also exquisitely delicious) which made for yet another great pairing with all flavors. I finished with classic cheesecake. All in all, a perfectly well-done meal with a wonderful, friendly, attentive and gracious staff. And it has been like this just about every single time I've come. Restaurants like this are an oasis from the world at times when you just need it and I can't thank them enough for simply BEING THERE, especially in a town like Newburgh, where it is not always that readily accessible or easy to find. I thank God for them and restaurants like them that are there for the dining pleasure and enjoyment of their patrons - in short, exactly what a very good restaurant is supposed to do. Kudos to you Andiamo! And God bless you.

We enjoyed a fantastic meal tonight. First we were so happy to see they have reopened, although the location is not as viable as their original location, the food was even more delicious than the last time we were there. Our waiter was the sweetest and so accommodating. Two of us had Chicken Française, and let me tell you, it was the best sauce I’ve had in a long time. Our friend had Veal Marsala and his wife enjoyed her stuffed sole. Dessert was coffee and homemade tiramisu. My husband and I were too full for dessert but our friends, who order tiramisu everywhere we go, said it was the best they’ve had. It was fresh and made on premises. Great evening and a tasty meal, now I hope the next time we go the tables are full!

When we first arrived we had to walk through the cigarette smoke of the host who was smoking right outside the front door. The tables had plastic picnic tablecloths (we expected classier for the price of the meals) Neither of us cared for the dip that came with the bread. It was some sort of sun-dried tomato spicy curried salt oil. We both ordered chicken piccata which was very dry chunks of chicken in a what tasted like clam sauce and not piccata. We probably won't return.

When I would come home for a visit, I couldn't wait to eat here, so I was very excited to learn they reopened at a new location. Well, this was about two weeks ago, and it was terrible. They must have a new cook (not chef.) The scampi I loved was shrimp on top of pasta, (not al dente), in oil with a whole bunch of lemon juice. What the what?

This was our first time here and will be our last. Our waiter was very rude and kept removing our plates before we were even finished with our food, didn't even ask if we were finished. Someone in our party had a glass of wine and she said it tasted fishy. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took forever to get our food. The mussels that were ordered were tiny and overcooked. Finally when the dinners came out, the pasta had a weird taste and was overcooked and cold. Zuppa de Pese was supposed to have shrimp in it and one of the dishes that was ordered had none. I can't believe this restaurant received 4.7 stars. Very disappointing, not impressed at all.

We stopped off at Andiamo unexpectedly while being stuck in traffic trying to get onto I84- I'm so glad we did! What a gem this spot is. We enjoyed every meal and appetizer- the ahi tuna started was perfection! The servers were all incredibly gracious and seamless in their rolls. Will make it a point to come back for dinner next time we're over the river!
