Captain Jake's is one of my all time favorites! The service and food are excellent ?. The bar is beautiful and sitting out on the heated deck was amazing!! Can't wait to go back!

Had lunch there, my abdomen swelled with pain.Vomiting and diarrhea ensued.In bed all day from weakness.I think the soup was over a week old.Be careful with this place, obviously some dangerous food practices going on!

Our favorite place to dine In Newburgh. Great selection of oysters. The tuna melt sandwich and hamburger were also cooked to perfection. We’ll be back soon. The staff is always very attentive and friendly. And of course seating outside next to the river makes everything taste even better.

Party of six, two people had shrimp and were sick within 3 hrs, nausea vomiting and diarrhea. Lazy man lobster dinner, which I believe was 70 dollars was like rubber. That dish used to be served over risotto and was delicious! Terrible! Will never go back.

We Love Captain Jake’s. Been coming for years and never had a bad meal. Very friendly, comfortable. On the Water Front in Newburgh. The afternoon lunch has a nice view of the Hudson. Evening lights are very nice. Come and enjoy.

First time in Newburgh, NY. Wanted to do something different for our anniversary. Stopped in for a drink and some very fresh oysters. Left to check out another restaurant and came back to eat dinner. Both of our meals were delicious, wild salmon and sole franchese. Asked for a salad instead of potatoes/rice and they gladly accommodated me at no additional charge. The salad was huge! Hobby asked for garlic & oil on his pasta and again very accommodating. We'll be back.
