“Very nice Mexican restaurant. Super friendly staff, greeted with big smiles and open arms. Chips and salsa was great, even were included (had to mention because more and more places are charging for chips and salsa. Service was absolutely amazing, very quick and food was served hot. Carnitas were done very nicely. Tamale was very good, was covered in cheese and Verde sauce. I look forward to coming back and telling my friends to stop by. “I got the Rancho Viejo burrito, my wife got Taco Salad, father in law got carne asada, and mother in law got shrimp salad -- all were executed perfectly -- looked, smelled, and tasted DELICIOUS -- This might be the best Mexican restaurant in Syracuse.“

“I had a vegan burrito and a margarita and both were delicious. We were seated somewhat near the bar so it was pretty loud. Otherwise, there was a fun décor and the service was solid. From the initial phone call with Lisa when she patiently answered my million questions, took the order and emailed the invoice, I knew we made the right choice. The food was delivered at the time we planned by three people who carried it into our house and happily offered to set up the pans with sternos. They were quick, professional and friendly. The food was incredible. We ordered half pans of carnitas and chicken with peppers and onions, yellow rice and black beans. Tortillas, tortilla chips, pico, queso and guac completed our order. Several guests couldn’t make it due to being sick (tis the season) so we had a lot of leftovers which I am enjoying as I write this. The food was a huge hit with our friends and already on the list for next year’s annual party. 100% recommend ordering from this incredibly professional, kind and talented local business. Greeted at the door and seated right away, waitress came promptly with warm homemade chips and salsa and suggested the queso, which was creamy cheesy with pieces of pickled jalapeño making it slightly zesty very good. The pico de gallo is fresh made with tomato, onion, and lots of cilantro which we love!! The chimichanga and the tamale were stuffed full with tender moist pulled chicken seasoned perfectly. The Spanish rice was perfect accompaniment. There are several options for main items as well as sides and also a choose 3. One soda one water meal was under $50.“

“So good but I am Not expert here. My quesadilla was awesome and my wife's taco salad was great. Lots of food. To be clear this is not a place for a clean freak. It's more of a diner style. The floor is dirty and so are the walls. But the food and service and the general feeling of the place was just what I like. So, if you fit the vibe definitely you will be well fed and the people are very accommodating.“

“Hands-down, my absolute favorite Mexican food in the area. A good friend of ours recommended this place a while back and it took us forever to finally try it, but now that we have, we don't want Mexican from any other place. Lol. Every single thing we have tried off the menu has been fantastic. My husband loves the jalapeño poppers and their guacamole is fresh and so amazingly tasty. And if you do get the guacamole, they load you up with chips and salsa as well. Also very very tasty. I have gone with the Arroze Con Pollo as my entrée every single time and I keep meaning to try something different but it's just so good I end up going right back to it. My husband has tried a variety of dishes from burritos to chicken entrées and he raves about every single meal. If you're in the area I could not give this a higher recommendation. You definitely have to try it if you are in the mood for Mexican.“

“Steve's is a great hidden gem in Tipp Hill. It's a cash only bar and they serve great Mexican food. Drinks and food are cheap and very good. Very cozy vibe and I've always had a good meal here. The kitchen is only open Thursday and Friday starting at 6pm. Not sure if the kitchen is open on Saturdays. I also believe they are cash only but they have an ATM in the bar.“

“Stopped in today for our first visit to Carmelita's. Super welcoming Host. We were seated immediately. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant smelled AMAZING so I had a feeling we had made the right choice stopping here. We decided on their flight of 3 nachos for our App. One was ground beef, shredded chicken and refried beans. All were covered in perfectly melted cheese on fresh made tortilla chips. All of them were very good but the shredded chicken nachos were the star. Excellent. I chose the 3 Enchiladas meal (no beans). I had a ground beef, steak (extra $2.00) and their chicken. All 3 were excellent. They were roped with their red sauce. The onions inside all were diced perfectly and the entire meal was superbly seasoned. Not overboard on seasoning and just "delicious". All the food was made as ordered and not "assembly line" style. Pricing was fair for what we received and especially for how it tasted. Definitely will be back in the future.“

“My Daughter & I went to Don Juan Cafe on Friday 1/26/24 & we bought 2 chicken & cheese empanada's along with 1 beef empanada. The empanada's were outstanding! I only wish they had more on hand so i could of bought another one for later!“

“First time here and trying the place out. Had Mexican Pork tacos and served with beans and rice. All mains come with beans and rice. The beans your smooth used to being more chucky. Was late for the lunch choices and it's over at 2. Great lunch prices and a variety of meals to choose from. There are drinks imported from Mexico and the normal fountain soda is Pepsi product.“
