This Northport cookie shop is going to make me so fat! Went in to check out this tiny little place during the Cow Harbor festival and I'm glad I did because it's a real find. Tried a sugar cookie that was soft and delicious. Equally good are the decorative cookies as well. Not too sweet and very tasty. Can't wait to go back. Prices are decent and the staff were helpful. Recommended if you're in the mood for a confection.

My husband and I stopped in for the first time yesterday when we were in a desperate time crunch to get some cookies to bring to a birthday party where we were asked to bring dessert. The place is small, the Decour is more on the not-refined side although it is possible that they are going for a retro 1950s feel, because it does look like it's a little local cookie place from the past. There aren't THAT many choices compared with other bakeries, but the choices that they do have are delicious. The cookies are also very big and perfect to share, so it was a great option for dessert. Everybody at the party loved the cookies, and my husband and I got two cookies for the road which we loved (the Macadamia White Chocolate Chip and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip). I would definitely return to quintessential cookies to get more cookies because the cookies we had were delicious. Every single type we tried, and we tried every single one, were amazing. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Amazing taste! And when a place makes just cookies it should tell you they are experts at that.

Stopped in here with a friend while walking around Northport for the day. We saw cookies in a casing and practically broke the door down! We got two big cookies to share, a linzer tart and a chocolate crinkle cookie. Let me just say the chocolate cookie was pure heaven... soft.. but chewing at the same time... and just the perfect amount of everything... pretty thick as well. We were going nuts over that one! We were both disappointed in the linzer tart... then again we are bias because I make my linzer tarts at home, soft and buttery, which is different then the way most bakeries make them. This cookie was harder, and not very sweet. It reminded me of a typical linzer tart I would get at a jewish deli.. hard... jelly all dried out as well... ugh mine are so much better!

Best place for fresh baked cookies! Their cookies are unbelievable!!!!They also make custom cookies which are amazing! I ordered a bunch of cookies for my daughters bday and they way surpassed my expectations. They also make cake pops, brownies and other yummy goodies. As soon as you walk in it's hard to leave w/ nothing, the smell alone just get you!!

Everything in this store is cooked to perfection! I love their gingerbread houses during the holidays to bring to my relatives, or to ship to those I can't be with for the holidays. Great cookie platters, boxes, etc..pretty much every combination of cookies can be assembled together. You must check it out. And they also do birthday parties!
