Love the place, great food and service. Their Ceviche is worth the trip as well as their Arroz Chaufa! Oh, and great prices!

I had the opportunity to enjoy their food. The first time it was closed but I went the next day and my experience was fantastic. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly and gave good recommendations. The ceviche was the best and the chaufa is not far behind. I recommend it to ?. My family and I will return soon.

The food is delicious and the waitresses are friendly, also the atmosphere is very good. But they charged us almost $50 just for the table, plus they took a while to bring us the food and first they brought one dish and about 10 minutes later another one and like that, I think they shouldn't charge so much for the table that we didn't like at all

Amazing! Came here for my mom's birthday. We arrived at 7pm and parked in the parking lot next to the library in the back. There were signs saying there was metered parking. But the metered parking machine wasn't working. A local told us we didn't have to pay. We walked inside and was greeted by a friendly server. The table was already set for us, and she brought out menus for us. They gave us water in plastic cups. (I think this restaurant is mostly popular for its take out service more than its dine in service. While there was only 3 other tables seated besides us, their counter was overflowing with takeout orders. We ordered the Pollo a La Brasa, choritos a la chalaca, choclo con queso fresco, chicha morado, frijoles, and arroz amarillo. They took our order and gave us puffed corn, and some kind of cream salsa verde sauce for the table. The chicha morado was good, sweet and slightly spiced from the cinnamon it was refreshing, light and sweet. First came the mussels, they were topped with a salsa, lime juice and corn. They were overcooked and dry. I don't think people normally order the mussels, so I don't think the chef knew how to prepare it properly. Then came the rice and the roast chicken. The yellow rice was so flavorful, fluffy, and good. The roast chicken was amazing. Very flavorful, and the meat fell right off the bones. Then came the beans, and corn appetizer. The corn appetizer was kind of weird. It was just slightly warm corn with small logs of cheese on the side. I was expecting like a roasted corn with fresh cheese crumbled on top with spices. There was very enthusiastic Latino music playing from the TV the whole time. The whole place felt fun and inviting. It was pretty casual, and the waitresses were friendly and kind. They were decorated for Halloween with decorations, and orange lights lighting up the walls. I think next time we'll just stick to the chicken, beans, and rice. They were very nice in letting us being our own birthday cake as well. They gave us small plates, and forks and knives. They gave us plastic utensils. I guess they didn't have small dessert forks. Overall wonderful experience. Just don't order something atypical I guess.

Food is good but the service is terrible. We went for my birthday dinner. Waitress tells us the special, I order the special from her. She comes back with plates of food for everyone at the table except me. I’m sitting there with no food and she just leaves the table. She never put my order in and never apologized. A member of my party wanted to try a Peruvian beer and was asking about them and the waitress impatiently said,” we have American beer”. Rarely checked on the table, we felt like unwelcome outsiders. My family didn’t want to go there in the first place but it was my birthday so they went for me to try something new. I would have been better off listening to them and going one of the many other excellent options in Patchogue. Really disappointing.

Wow, can't believe all the negative reviews. I'm a foodie coming from Brooklyn and this place has the best Peruvian food I've had. So good!

... there are several good Latin restaurants in Patchogue Village, but The Chicken Place is my favorite ... if you're looking for very good, authentic Peruvian cuisine with friendly, attentive service, then this is the place to go !!!

This place is one of my TOP places to go. The food the service the music the energy the servers WOW. 1000% recommend. There are Spanish and English servers it's a family place or just for two. The music they play is a jam! Give them a visit! They are in Patchogue and is the best restaurant I believe in that area.

!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!We where sited in a very small table just 2 of us but the restaurant was empty (and now i know why) than i asked if we can be moved to a bigger table in response we got the first bad face of the night and i can go on and on but to make thi shorter . The service is horrible including bad faces and asking more than twice for something that takes forever to get to your table on top of that they have a service gratuity of 20 percent IMPOSED already in the bill. So pretty much you HAVE to pay extra 20 percent to be treated like s#$t and receive bad faces throughout your dinner.

The food is the only thing that saved this rating. I usually go to the Medford location but I was out in Patchogue and decided to eat in for once. Big mistake. Service was terrible for only having 4-5 tables between 2 people (largest table was a 4 top) After taking our order and dropping off food we never heard from or saw the waitress again. Sat with an empty glass for at least 15 minutes before I had to physically wave both arms to get her attention and order another drink. To add insult to injury, our $56 food and drink bill then had an almost $12 service charge added for our table of 2 (ironic to charge over 20% for something not received) and then these people have the AUDACITY to have suggested gratuity amounts listed at the bottom of the bill. Whoever put this in place can eat a Richard. We will never go back for sit down service, and I'll probably stick to Medford for to-go orders. Rant over(Server named on receipt was not our server.)

The food was very good we had the chicken. We also had the tiraditos con ají amarillo. Both were really good . The pisco sour was also excellent . Service was efficient. The place is very small no frills or high brow dining here. The salad can also improve
