Love Virgola!!! Such a hidden gem in Patchogue, with its wonderful service, enticing Italian wine selection, diverse array of charcuterie boards, and delicious cold seafood options. My husband and I have been curious about Virgola Wine Bar since we moved to Patchogue, but never got a chance to stop in as we were unfamiliar with their hours. For my birthday this year, my husband suggested going to check it out (this was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving) and they had a Wednesday special going on which was half off wine bottles. We figured we would grab a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine and just relax. And that's exactly what we did! We tried a couple of samples of wine before landing on the Sangiovese red wine, which was absolutely delicious. We grabbed the bruschetta- Classico ($12) and three of our favorite cheeses (burrata, parmigiano reggiano, and raschera) which were reasonably priced ($8 each), and the portions that were given made that price totally worth it. Everything we ate was tasty and we couldn't even finish the cheeseboard between the two of us which we can normally do so we definitely left full and happy. We did run out of bread at one point but just we asked for more and they brought it right over. The vibe in there is very calm and relaxing. There were several people in there but everyone seemed to be unwinding and hanging out with friends so that was nice. It's dimly lit so it definitely gives those city wine bar vibes. I will definitely be bringing some of my friends to Virgola! Just need to find the right day since they have daily happy hours/promotions.Check it out for sure!

Nice place to go on a Monday night. Great food, drink, and atmosphere. The best fresh seafood, provolone, and prosciutto. Friendly bartender and servers. I recommend them to everyone.

Great little bar with shareable plates and a great selection of Italian wines. Their happy hour is really generous and the staff here is super nice and polite. Virgola is perfect for a date night or a small group gathering.

I’ve been coming here (the establishment) since they first opened up in the city. Even though it’s a bit far to drive, we still make the trip here whenever possible. The oyster selection is not as grand as before but still varied enough. Their meat and cheese are amazing (my favorites are the coppa, speck, and robiola). I’m not a big drinker but their moscato is very nice. The atmosphere is great for the day time and it can be very romantic for the night time. This isn’t the usually dinner place, so expect to spend some time actually savoring the food. Or average time is about 2-3 hours. Hands down an amazing place to dine.Vegetarian options: There’s not a whole lot but there are definitely some options on the board.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surface. Big bathrooms.
