“Canela Coffee, right off Eastern Parkway, is a great spot for a strong cup of coffee and chill vibes. The cozy interior features cool artwork of music legends like Hendrix, Marley, and Tupac. Big windows let in lots of natural light, making it a perfect place to relax or work.

The coffee is excellent, and the staff is super friendly. If you're in the area, definitely check it out!

Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp for wheelchair available”
“Enjoyed a coffee here prior to visiting the botanic gardens! A few tables and counter seating plus pastries looked good! Very nice staff”
“We eat and try alot of pizza places. This pizza was absolutely excellent. One of our favs. We were in the area for the botanical gardens and eat here for lunch. Fresh, Soo yummy, Great choices, amazing flavors. The staff was super nice. Now our fav pizza place in”
“The creole gumbo is insanely good!! The oysters selection is great too, cheap on weekdays.”
“They serve all vegan food with healthy smoothies. We walked up from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, had lunch, and then headed to the Brooklyn Museum. The black bean burger and side of lasagna were tasty but salty. The dining room was spotless, as was the outside seating in the back.”
“I'd rate Little Miss Muffin N Her Stuffin four and a half stars. We shared a chicken curry patty. The pastry was thin and sturdy. Not flakey. More pocket like. The star was the savory filling. It was a great value at $2 and change. Service was quick. Takeout only.”
“amazing service and creative drinks. the space is pretty small so i would recommend taking your coffee to-go.”
“The food is great and the staff is phenomenal. It's kind of like a mom and pop restaurant where if you've visited more than twice the staff will remember your name. Cheryl is very pleasant and inviting. It's a warm and accommodating establishment. But then again, me and the kids are biased. It's our Tuesday dinner and first choice any other time. If you're ever near Mt.Prospect, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, The Botanical Garden, Central Library or The Zoo, stop on by for a feast. You're gonna love it. Oh they have a live band on some nights. That's a treat in itself.

Kid-friendliness: One of the kids dislikes soggy fries so they would leave the container open for us until we do pick ups. He's very vocal about his dislikes. The choices for kids are proportional and very kid friendly. They do treat the little ones as customers and not just kids. They listen to their orders are knowledgeable of their menu selections and are willing to provide recommendations. They're great with kids.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's outdoor seating sheltered and not.”
“This ice cream is top notch. They have a flavor for everyone!!! Ooeyer & Gooeyer is the best IMO- massive chunks of butter cake with ribbons of caramel! Delish!!! It Came From Gowanus is also SO tasty- dark chocolate ice cream with orange brownies & hazelnut crack cookies in it. Like cmon! GO GO GO!”

“Very convenient place to meet for lunch while going to the museum - especially if you have out-of-town visitors and want to make it easy with one meeting place. Overall, the food was good; the standout at our table was the grilled cheese and tomato soup. High marks for convenience and comfort,, but some stars off for price and service.”
